  • Really Solid External Monitor!
Color: P5
Lets start of with the Pros: -It is lightweight! My current setup is fairly heavy and I feared that adding another attachment was going to make it heavier however, it wasn't noticeable at all! -Comes with EVERYTHING you need! I was very surprised that it came with the camera attachment, two different types of video ports, a sun shield, & a cleaning cloth. -Simple to use. It has a very simple design and has all the buttons necessary to use! -Portable! It is the size of the iPhone 6! A tad bit bigger but it's the perfect size! The Cons: -Unfortunately, it is not compatible with the camera batteries I have :( If I didn't already have a spare battery that fits this, I would not have been able to use it. -There may be a very small delay between what is on the camera and what is on the monitor. That may be a norm in external monitors, I'm just not sure. Overall I'd say if you're looking for a solid addition to your gear that doesn't break the bank, this monitor is your accessory! ... show more

  • Great screen
Color: Black
I love the screen, it helps me see the photos more during the daylight my only issues is I need to find some batteries that last longer than a hour other than that I absolutely enjoy having it and it makes life easier!

  • You get what you pay for...
Color: R5
Let’s just say you get what you pay for. If you are in the market for a monitor, just spend the extra $150 and get the atomos shinobi. The Desview r5 would’ve been an excellent monitor 5+ years ago. But no where did it mention that it can only view 1080p and nothing higher. If you are trying to shoot 4K, good luck, this thing will glitch on you like crazy. They make it sound like 400 nits of brightness is bright, but it is not. Unless you are shooting in dark rooms, you won’t even be able to see the screen in a regularly lit room. It is also built really poorly and cheaply. Every port wobbles and the cables barely stay in. The only reason it got above a 1 star rating is because it is jam packed with features and tools. But what good are those features if you can’t even see your screen. ... show more

  • Great display for Vlogging/Videography!
Color: R5
Being a videographer, I’ve only owned one other 5” monitor, and it wasn’t the most color accurate monitor. Looking for a better monitor, it was between the SmallHD monitor or the Desview R5, so I purchased the Desview R5 to try it out. Best purchase I’ve made!

The monitor is pretty lightweight. I use it with my Sony a6500, and it combines perfectly to keep my vlogging rig light. It’s bright enough to work outdoors, and pretty color accurate right out of the box! Also appreciate all the accessories that it comes with; it pretty much comes with everything that you would need for the monitor to work with your camera (except batteries).

The touchscreen is really responsive, didn’t experience any lagging at all. Menu is really simple to navigate, really self explanatory. The custom LUTs via SD card were super easy to implement on the display as well. So many graphs and visuals on this monitor that you can customize on this display. The monitor does seem to require a bit of power. It IS a high quality monitor so I would expect it to use more power. I’ve used it with the standard slimmer Sony NP-F batteries, and one battery will power it for about 30-45 minutes. I’ll be for sure getting the bigger Sony NP-F batteries for longer usage. I was also able to rig the power cable (using a dummy battery) to run off of a portable charger & USB wall charger, in which kept the monitor on however long I wanted it to! Overall, if you’re a vlogger, documentarian, cinematographer, this is the display monitor that you should get! Really portable, many features and included accessories at an unbeatable price. • Best Field Monitor for Indie Filmmakers
Color: R5
I am a college student majoring in Film & Television and I was stuck between all the lower budget field monitor brands like Feelworld, Andycine, and Desview. While all brands have similar professional features like touch screen, false color, waveforms, histograms, LUTS, vectorscope, zebras, anamorphic desqueeze, etc. The Desview stood out to me because of two major differences all the other brands didn’t have, the HDR ability screen and a user friendly interface. The ONLY TWO MINOR CONS I have for the Desview R5 are: 1. No 1/4 inch female mounting hole on top of the monitor 2. Brightness is only 500 nits. With that being said their are 1/4 female mounting holes on the bottom and right side, and I guess you could buy the recently released newer version Desview R6 for better brightness. Overall, an amazing field monitor that promises to last and not need to upgrade until you’ll need a larger 7” monitor or external recording. ... show more

  • It is a good monitor (for starters)
Color: P5
The media could not be loaded. I bought this monitor because I’m having a hard time looking at my camera screen (which is so tiny) whenever I’m doing video stuff. So, i'm looking for a small (5 inch) monitor that is decent and not as expensive as the others. And then i found this monitor (Desview Mavo-P5 Camera Field Monitor, 5.5"). I found the price is on the cheaper side than the competitor feelworld. I used this a bunch of times in a wedding (I’m a wedding filmmaker) and turns out pretty good. Mounted this on a gimbal as well connected with the HDMI cable from my camera. And they gave it out of the box! The monitor arm is very sturdy And it’s pretty light! And the monitor swivels 360 degrees. It comes also with monitor hood/shade. It has focus assist, false color, histogram and many more options. Also, buttons to use for navigating these options. It has wheel button as well It seems like a perfect monitor for gimbal! I wish it had a battery included but i can’t ask for more because of its price. So. If you are looking for a cheap monitor that is decent, i would recommend this for starters (not for pro for sure) and you'll love it. It’s cheap! Very cheap! So, anyone could buy it. ... show more

  • Exceptionally poor LCD build quality
Color: P5II
Was fine until I had to clean it. Barely applied pressure with the provided cleaning cloth and ended up causing permanent damage. The LCD is far too delicate and extremely fragile. Useless now. Avoid this at all costs.
