Been playing with a 5-piece band for over 30 years. I have larger, more powerful, more expensive gear, analog and digital, and I would put this board up against any of them when it comes to build quality, reliability, sound quality, noise floor etc. Considering simplicity, ease of use, built in features, and price, this is a no-brainer. So much so that I bought 3. The first was the PA6 for solo gigs. Later, I got the PA8 for mid-sized gigs. Most recently, I picked up the PA12 for larger shows. The effects can be difficult to dial in, but it's completely possible. Just write down your settings for ease in the future. The 7 band EQ isn't the best, but it's more than adequate for EQ'ing a room and quick feedback suppression. I'm quite surprised that the more expensive "name-brand" mixers don't come with Bluetooth for music during breaks. That is a great feature on this board. At this price point, there's nothing to lose. Go ahead and pick up this little mixer. You won't be disappointed! ... show more

This relatively inexpensive mixer has reduced routing capability compared to more expensive items, but what it does it does very well. It is simply a good, efficient 12 channel mixer. There seems to be no compromise in signal and sound quality, and the inclusion of the 7 band equalizer is a valuable feature. The question that remains is only that of longevity, but the construction seems solid and the faders and pots have a good feel to them. It has behaved flawlessly for the two months I have used it. Was great but for a short while . after only a few months one of the main out puts stopped working , aux output for monitor stopped working and other parts literally falling off, i had to use glue to stick several parts in place, very embarrassing for a performing live working musician. When you see a brand name that has a reputation for quality, like Roland, Fender, etc., it gives you satisfaction that it is famous for being something good and dependable. To skimp on lower quality electronic parts and low wage assembly line solder joints... then put in BOLD letters "PROFESSIONAL" -- well, "You get what you pay for" may not be flawlessly accurate, but it sure is a good rule of thumb that normally has a warranty to back it up. ... show more
