Unbelievably well packaged by Fender to ensure no parts were damaged (like some kind of super-expensive item). All parts were flawless with no manufacturing defects. Assembly directions were very clear. Assembly itself was extremely easy and took about 5 to 10 minutes; you only need a Phillips head screwdriver. Basically like Fender made an Ikea product. My husband recently purchased a Fender guitar and this holder was very easy to assemble and holds the instrument securely.

    • Easy to assemble and saves space.
It's a nice guitar stand that is easily assembled and the parts fit correctly and snugly together. It assembled like IKEA furniture, and only a Phillips screwdriver is required to put it together. One thing that I like is the little nylon sockets for the screws to fit into, instead of going straight into raw wood. Which would would cause the joint to fail after prolonged use. They included a few spare hardware parts, which is helpful. I thought I was getting a solid wood stand with a walnut stain finish. It's a walnut veneer - which I believe is plastic or synthetic - over some light colored wood. It appears to be a plywood, but I can't say for certain because I can only see the bare wood through the lock-key openings. The layers are either that of plywood or router marks from the building process. They're round adhesive veneer stickers to hide the lock-keys. They do the job, but for the money they look cheap. Wooden plugs would be much classier. I feel that it's a little overpriced and I would probably purchase a couple more if they were around the sixty dollar mark. I bought the model that holds three electric guitars, so I can't speak about how they hold acoustic guitars. It holds Telecasters nicely, but is a bit wonky with offset bodies like Jazzmasters and Jaguars. You have to be careful putting those in, but once they're seated, they seem pretty steady. I imagine that Stratocasters will fall somewhere in between the Telecasters and Jazzmasters. I don't own one so I don't know. This definitely won't hold any odd shaped bodies. No Explorers or Flying Vs. Too narrow for Les Pauls as well. It's a Fender stand designed for Fender and Fender shaped guitars. Overall a good product, but I think that they could do better on the price. ... show more
