So this bed is a FRAME ONLY. THE only this on the bottom is a "strap" like a belt supposedly" holding" the frame together . I stepped on it and it popped right out. But it does not take away from the bed FRAME. I also used my IKEA crib mattress, it fits fine not perfect. I have a big 2.5 year old..I almost buy another one but NOT worth buying another crib mattress when the bed FRAME itself is convertible. I rather wait and get the twin mattress. I love this FRAME because my son never willingly slept in his crib..even when he is sound asleep and he felt himself being lowered in there he would wake up. HE ALWAYS SLEPT IN MY BED. The FIRST DAY he got this FRAME he went in there and sleep not on his own, but after I read his bedtime stories and he finish breastfeeding..yes 2 years still breastfeeding. Lol He sleeps in his bed everyday!! Although he will wakes up and come to my bed to feed through the night I put him back, or he go on his own depends how alert he is. ALTHOUGH most time around after 4 or 5 am he wants to sleep in my bed and that's fine because that increases his chance of waking a little later that after 7..which he always up earlier when in his bed. I added lights to his carz fairy light . I also added his crib bumper in there through the corners where the parts screws in. IT'S NECESSARY ALTHOUGH it doesn't stops all the BANGS during the night from wild sleeping. I feel bad it's loud because the bed is like hard plastic, but better than Wood..IF it was Wood I might find knots in the am. Nice bed simply because MY SON SLEPT IN THERE WILLINGLY and I no longer have to sleep at the very EDGE of my bed because my son is BOSSY and would kick me off my own bed if his feet is within reach of my body..he needs his OWN space. ... show more

I purchased this bed for my almost 2-year-old. He loves it! The mattress does sit on the ground to give the railings a little more height so he doesn't roll out. I'm excited to switch it to a twin bed. The only issue I have with this bed, is that the instructions say it should come with 2 stickers for each spoiler wing. It did not. It only came with one per wing. Otherwise, it seems pretty solid and cool to us! ... show more

My son loves his race car bed. It’s made transitioning into a toddler bed so much easier. And it just plain looks cool. There are two reasons I can’t give it Five Stars: 1) The instructions were not accurate. The letters for which pieces went together, according to the instruction manual, were not the same as the letters on the actual pieces, so we had to figure some things out for ourselves. 2) I wish there was some kind of bottom to it; even just a couple plastic pieces to give the sides some support in the middle. All it has it a fabric strap, which doesn’t really do anything. Overall still very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

I'm not sure what people are complaining about, this bed is perfect! Easy to assemble, great instructions, super cute. Yes, your mattress will lay on the floor but we actually prefer it that way, seems safer to me if my son decides to jump on the bed. Or you can always create your own mattress support I guess, it isn't a drawback for us at all. We're using the toddler size now but once he's ready for the twin, I'll invest in a twin mattress that is at least 8 inches tall, that way he won't feel so sunken in. My 3 year old is going to FLIP when we surprise reveal it to him tomorrow for his birthday! If your kid is obsessed with cars like mine, you should definitely consider this bed. I also got lucky and purchased on prime day with a great discount! ... show more

My son loves his bed!!! I followed the directions to a T!!(for the toddler bed, eventually will convert to twin.) I realized the “new directions” (it came with old and new) were wrong, when it came to the sticker placement. I thought I was “missing” the stickers to the outside part of the fin-spoiler things. But after looking at the “old instructions” I guess I had all the stickers. None the less, my son loves his bed!! Can’t wait for it to grow with him and get a twin mattress eventually :) ... show more
