Dell has consistently good monitors. This one has a great looking display panel, bright and sharp. The cords all go down, not straight out the back, and it uses a standard power cord. Assembly is easy, no tools required, and all necessary cables are included. The stand is sturdy and compact. You can adjust height, tilt, and rotation-- although the stand is not tall enough to rotate into a fully vertical orientation. (I never use that anyway so...) I got this for working at home. I really only have room my desk for a single 27-in external monitor for my laptop. With 4K it's the equivalent of four FullHD screens, giving me ample workspace: I can snap four "full screen" windows to the corners. The dot pitch (pixel size) is just large enough for me to read comfortably. Mine has a black bezel, silver stand, and is very light gray on the back, almost white, but then I never look at the back so it really doesn't matter. I recently purchased a 1440p 27-in from another manufacturer. The Dell is better quality and has a much better design. The Dell was also slightly cheaper which makes it a great comparative value. ... show more

Love love love my monitors. I have two of these (one that charges and one that doesn't so they're not exactly the same model, but they are the same screen). I'm a developer and love how crisp the display is. It has enough adjustability for anything that I do and I don't get terrible glare in it with light behind me.     • Excellent Value 4k Monitor that is Flicker Free!!!
This monitor has been one of the best buys i've made in the last several years. The box arrived in perfect condition, and it is perfect, not a single faulty pixel. I had been using a 24"1920x1200 Dell Ultrasharp monitor I bought in 2012, it had zero issues and was 100 reliable for over 11 years. The Ultrasharp served me well, but it was time for a 4k monitor. This monitor is an incredible value, it went on sale for two fifty, at that price I couldn't pass it up. It does not cause me any eye strain, the picture is very sharp and clear, 27" 4k is a huge upgrade form a 1080p display. The colors are rich and vibrant, and the blacks / contrast ratio is very good. I used the rtings icc calibration profile they have for this monitor and it improved the accuracy very noticeably, color accuracy is spot on now. For most users, it will be a great choice, if you are a gamer wanting high refresh rate, or you want a monitor that is meant for HDR content, you might want to look at a bit higher end. For me, I use it with my main PC and mostly for browsing and media consumption, reading & working. I spend many long hours daily staring at a monitor, so it's important that it has no PWM backlighting / is flicker free. This monitor does not cause me any eyestrain. It's been great for casual gaming, movies, editing, etc.. can't beat it for the price imo! It might not be the latest and greatest, but I think this is the best value 4k monitor available atm. Dell has a very good track record of reliable monitors so I am confident it will last me a long time. ... show more

I got this monitor for a 4K security camera setup but decided to first try it out next to a 2019 Viewsonic 4K Pro-Monitor using some 4K Planet Earth III videos. All I can say is that technology has come a far way! The 2024 Dell just blew the ViewSonic 4K away when it came to details, shading and color. The only problem I had with the Dell is that the included stand interface is dangerous! DO NOT just clip the Monitor into it and lift it up as there is a good chance the Monitor will fly out of the clips and hit the ground. I thank another reviewer for mentioning this after his hit the ground. There is up down lever next to where the Monitor Stand clips in and the Lever does not go back to the correct position properly. If you are putting the stand on and it clicks into place you need to lift the lever Up with your finger until it is level with the surrounding plastic (See Pictures). Even then try to tug at the stand and make sure it wont come off before you lift the monitor off of flat surface. The other issue is if you want to remove the stand the same lever cannot be pushed in enough to get the stand out without some amount of force that might break the plastic clips in the monitor. You need to wedge a small screw driver into the hinge section of the lever and gently pull it down just a bit more until the stand pulls out easily. (See Pictures) Lastly if you are getting a VESA mount please note that the space between the screws and the recessed back that holds the plate in is very small. If you have one of those Multi Size VESA stands, it's mounting plate may not fit into the sunken square back plate on the Dell Monitor. (See Picture) Even with everything done correctly the Monitor wobbles on the stand when moved. I just got a VESA wall mount and ditched the stand, the Stand is the only bad part of this system. Once gone the monitor is perfect. Excellent picture with 2 HMDI Inputs and a Display port input. Very small Bezel and the Monitor physically looks very nice and is packaged very well. ... show more
