UPDATE - Flickering issue. My excitement with this otherwise high quality monitor was premature. A very subtle flickering is going on. At first it seems perfect. But as you work and stare and glance down at your keyboard, you realize there is a subtle flickering going on - at all times. I tried switching out cables (both DP and HDMI) - no difference. Same flicker. Then I connected to a different computer - still flickering! So it's definitely the monitor - not the cables and not the computer. I'm returning it - which is a shame because I otherwise like this monitor and need a good 27" one - just without flicker! (Left it at 5 stars because I'm giving Dell the benefit of the doubt. I'm assuming I just got a dud. We'll see when I reorder . . . . ) This is a great everyday monitor - but the screen settings it ships with are very bland. When you first plug it in and connect it up, you'll get a mediocre image. Go into the screen settings using the little buttons hidden on the underside of the front right edge of the monitor. Play around with the different choices and adjust brightness, contrast, RGB, mode, etc. until you get the bright crisp image you want. That's what I did and I'm very happy with the results. Plus the stand is great. It raises, lowers, tilts and swivels. Connections are good too - offering both HDMI and DP ports. All this for $170 is a darn good deal. Just be sure to adjust the image in settings after you set it up.

I use the monitor as one of three in a three-wide array at eye level. I don't find this unit as bright as the one it replaced but find it satisfactory. What I like most is the absence of a wide border around the screen. My other monitors of the same screen size have an additional 2" of border than this monitor has. I also like the low profile base that allows stuff to sit on it and not slide off. Getting the picture as clear as my other two monitors took a little doing, but I finally got an acceptable picture. I found the connectivity somewhat a problem. I ended up using my last HDMI port to solve the issue. All in all like most Dell products, I find the monitor gets the job done.

This monitor works fine. It has a standard VESA Mount, and it seems satisfactory in every way. I like it when equipment is standard rather than proprietary. I think the Dell monitors are my favorites. Considering the price, this seems to be a great deal. The only marginal thing I found was holes into the case near the VESA Mount. It would be easy to drop a VESA Mount screw into one of these holes. So . . . don't drop the screws into the holes.

I bought 2 of these to pair with my 50" Samsung TV (Used as my center monitor). The monitors are nearly the same height (could have gone slightly larger on these by 1 or 2 inches). All in all, it was a great purchase and the monitors have a great picture.

i have a benq monitor for gaming and needed something easy on the eyes for editing, school, etc it's a pretty good monitor if you use headphones the speakers on the monitor are pretty terrible and it's a bit flimsy however I love it and use it 24/7 i think it was a great purchase for my needs but i definitely wouldn't want it as my main monitor
