In my opinion, this monitor is flawless when considering its price at $200, its adjustability (e.g., height and viewing angle), and its picture quality. However, I would say that when displaying 1080p on a 27 inch monitor, the image feels significantly more pixelated when compared with displaying 2k on a 27 inch monitor. But this is not a problem of this monitor.

Clarity is excellent. Color reproduction is also outstanding. I do a lot of photo editing for my wife's internet shop's listing and this monitor makes those projects a piece of cake. Even when I enlarge the photos to do very intricate adjustments the picture is still remarkably clear. I have used Dell equipment in the past and have always been more than satisfied.

I needed/wanted a better quality second monitor than the (unnamed) one I've been using for a long time and I didn't want to pay a lot for it. This Dell meets my expectations/requirements for performance/cost balance. The color fidelity is excellent and refresh rate is also excellent. Both are much more than satisfactory for my use case The big negative for this monitor for me is that the resolution settings choices are severely limited. You get two or three default resolution setting choices and that's it! It is not possible to meaningfully decrease item display size by choosing a higher resolution (there are no useful higher resolution settings to choose from). This is actually a big deal for me and it still has me on the fence deciding whether to keep the monitor or return it. Considering what I paid for it, though, I suspect I'll end up keeping it

I measured the diagonal screen size and it's closer to 23 and a bit inches corner to corner. Nothing about this product is 27 inches. iruler.net, which detects your monitor and puts a real size ruler on the screen, says the monitor is 22.9" but either way, it's not 27. And it's not the frame size vs viewable, on the top and sides there's maybe 3/16 of an inch of black frame outside the screen, and at the bottom maybe 5/8. But nothing that inflates a 23 inch monitor 4 inches so they can call it 27" in the item description. It is a perfectly good monitor from what I can tell, I just expected it to be 4 or 5 diagonal inches bigger than the old one I replaced and it's about the same size and resolution. Glad it was on sale. Feels like false advertising though. [Follow-up] Gotta point out, on the box the monitor is packed in, it has a little plan-view of the monitor from the top, side and front, and the front view has a suggestive diagonal line with 27" printed next to it A 27 inch diagonal monitor would literally not fit in the box. Dell is a pretty major brand, I'm still stumped by this false product claim that is refutable by anyone with a tape measure. You'd expect they would know someone might, you know...check. The only reason I'm not returning for a refund on principle is that they were on sale and they are "big enough" for my needs. The fact remains though, that from the Amazon ad to the shipping package, the dimensions of the product are bogus.

I WILL UPDATE REVIEW IN A COUPLE WEEKS, THIS IS INITIAL IMPRESSIONS. Okay so you landed on this monitor as a possible monitor for yourself, but there are no reviews for it. Well it was my turn to get the ball rolling I guess, so I purchased this new model Dell as a total gamble. Pretty much not a single review on any platform that is selling it. Found a couple bad articles about it, over all pretty much bought it blind. To my (valid) surprise, the panel is really quite pretty, Dell did a fantastic job on the back light bleed because there is ZERO. It's possible your mileage may vary, but I have never had a monitor in this price range with absolutely no back light bleed. Color uniformity seems great, color reproduction seems good, and brightness is going to be just right for most I believe. Overall I'm thrilled with it. Bezels are extremely thin, monitor it self is quite thin too. Pretty great match with my Mac mini in terms of fit and finish. It's not going to win any awards for any part of the monitor, although over all build quality is typical Dell monitor. Heavy base, solid stand, easy adjustments on the height. Really attractive package for the price, most modern monitors I have come across tend to be the gamer aesthetic which is not my thing. Nothing against it but couldn't imagine looking at that 5 years from now since they basically date themselves with different fads. I also had no need for anything above 60hz and I can't stand curved monitors so overall slim selection out there. If you're in the 200ish Dollar range looking for a larger display, flat screen, and nice bright display I would say this is less of a gamble then you may think. Current Value - 10/10 **EDIT FOR UPDATE** 4/22/22 My initial impressions hold up well, very impressed with overall screen quality. Plenty bright even with the heavy matte finish on the screen. Base is very solid, monitor itself doesn't shake or wiggle when typing or bumping desk. Very thin bezels are a huge plus as well, screen sort of melts into the surroundings. Would recommend this to anyone interested in a great looking screen that doesn't break the bank. Value: 10/10 **EDIT FOR UPDATE 5/12/22 (One Month Update) Favorite monitor I have ever owned. Dell has created great value with this monitor, as i believe its out performing its competition in this price range. Don't remember if i mentioned but works great with my mac mini as well
