Because the 2 jaws have vertical and angled slots for holding like round objects the 2 jaws need to be mirror images. That is what is shown in one of the Amazon pictures. But the 2 jaws I received were identical, not mirror images. I contacted the source and they said "Sorry, we make only the one type of jaw, no mirror images."

Pure junk. Every magnet has come off within a week of use. Just super glued in place, it looks like. These jaws like to roll up and out of the vice jaws, aiding in the magnet dislodging. I wouldn't buy these again for $2, much less for what I paid. Not happy!

Love that these pads. Strong-ish magnets on both flanges: A lot of the pads I have seen (and purchased) on Amazon have only one set of small magnets on one side of pad. This holds well in the vertical plane but allows the horizontal plane to detach from the vise! Becomes a pain to constantly be fiddling with. This product have magnets on BOTH flanges which significantly reduce the fiddle-factor. :) I do think even stronger magnets would be nice esp for projects where you are constantly tightening and then moving the piece, adjusting etc. The pads still want to wander a little. But overall... very happy with these Interchangeable pad faces: Because there are magnets on both flanges of the pads, you can quickly and easily flip them and alternate between the a complete flat/smooth face and a grooved face (with channels to assist in holding at different angles 90, 180, 45). Material: The material is a hard non-marring plastic. It appears durable but only time will tell. There is no rubber so this is not the softest of jaw pads but is great for soft metals like aluminium. Great product. Highly recommend.

Work great. The multiple angled grooves for holding round objects are SUPER handy, and I am surprised how often I use them. The magnets to hold the jaws in place are pretty stout. Be advised- the magnets are stout enough to pull themselves loose from the plastic and stick to your vise. This doesn't cause me any problems tho. Use a sliding motion to get this jaw off of your vise and it's all good. Also- the magnet collects grinding dust and metal shavings. (Also not a big deal.)

I really like these vise jaws. They're just the right size for my vise, and so far I've had no issues with the magnets coming unglued and sticking to my vise jaws. Even if they do, I figure a dab of weatherstrip cement will fix them up no problem. There were also some folks saying they didn't get the proper mirror image opposite side- just wanted to mention mine are the proper mirror image of each other so you can use the built-in grooves. I've been using these for pretty much everything I clamp in my vise regardless of the surface of the object and they've held up well so far and expect to have them for a long time.

UPDATE: not only are the magenets weak but they will not stay in the pads. Now my pads fall off the vise when no pressure is applied or rise off the vise leaving the magnets behind. Nonmaring surface is great but magets are trash. Product is nearly identical to the one for a few dollars more but the magnets are significantly weaker. This caused the pads to come off the vise when tightening down some items. Overall the pads worked as described, preventing scratches or damage but magnets could definitely use some improvement.

This is great so that my stuff doesn’t get all banged and chewed up by my metal vice jaws but it does has its flaws. On mine the 3rd use the plastic started to crack installing AN fuel lines. The magnets fall out so much it adds more time to my projects fumbling with them. I recommend epoxy for them which is an added expense to cheap jaws. It does what I need them to do just a small hassle using them

Bought these to change the sights on a Glock. Worked fine. Bought the 6”, but I should’ve bought the 4”. They have magnets on the ends but not in the middle, so my vice which is 4.5-5” isn’t wide enough to capture both magnets. Not a huge deal since the vice holds it in in place. Also, the material is harder than I thought they’d be. Doesn’t damage anything but less grippy in my opinion. Decent value for the cost though.
