The media could not be loaded. I already own the non-brushless version of this RC truck and it has been really fun to play with. When I saw that a brushless version was available, I decided to try it. The waterproof brushless engine is such a nice upgrade. Not only does the engine lasts longer but this thing is fast. I raced the regular truck and the brushless one side by side and this new truck has a lot more speed than his older brother. Looking forward to take it on a camping trip and run that thing in the mud to see how it handles. It’s nice that you can control the speed and sensitivity of the remote so that a kid can also play with it without crashing it constantly against the wall or an obstacle. But even when it happens, I am not too worried because it feels pretty solid and has a nice rubber front bumper that can absorb the shocks. The box included an extra battery which gives you about 20 min of extra running time which is nice. Changing the battery is fairly fast and simple. It also comes with another top cover, which is more for look if you want to change color as those plastic tops are fairly flexible and chances that they break are pretty slim (knocking on wood as I have not had that happened to me yet). The tires are soft which is great because you can make the truck jump and it will always have a soft landing. The only cons with having soft tires is that they will wear out very fast on concrete if you spin the truck constantly or go full speed all the time, but that is expected of all soft tires, regardless of the brand, even on my high end RC cars. I would say that out of the box, this RC is best for grass, sand and off road. Super fun on concrete but be ready to replace the tires every now and then. This is my second DeerC truck and I am quite satisfied with it, it is a good value for the components it comes with, such as the brushless engine and the oiled filled shocks. I am hoping they will come out with a 1:10 scale brushless version of this truck soon. I would be all over that. ... show more

If you're looking at this product, then you shouldn't be interested in the best RC car. If you want the best car, then go to one of the $300-500 products. THIS product though, is an incredible value, and something you won't feel too bad about letting your kid play with. This review is written after about eight hours of driving time, which I consider a good amount of time to review a $110 product (I got it when it cost $110). GOOD things: First and foremost, the battery life. So far, EACH battery has lasted at least 30 minutes for me. If you're in rough terrain and have the throttle constantly wide open it's 20 minutes, but on smooth ground and what I consider normal driving, I've had 40-minute-long play sessions on a single battery. I've never even managed to fully consume both batteries because after 60+ minutes it's time to head home. Charging time is 3-4 hours though, so it's a once-or-twice a day thing. The overall construction is great for the price. They've taken care to make gear-containing areas dust-resilient. It's been driven through grass and leaves and dirt, and so far no signs of the gear train getting contaminated. It's also been crashed more times than I can count, and driven off walls and stuff, and so far nothing has broken. The speed and acceleration are incredible for what it is. I haven't measured the top speed so I don't know if "60kph" is accurate, but it's gotta be close, and I'll say again, if absolute maximum speed is that important to you, stop looking at $120 cars. BAD things: The shocks are a joke. They *were* oil-filled, but all the oil squirted out within a few minutes of use. So now the shocks are just springs. Of course that's still important so that going over bumps doesn't snap something, but they don't provide any damping anymore. Turning the throttle sensitivity way down 1) makes reverse not work, and 2) still goes too fast at top speed for younger kids. It would be nice to have a setting where 6-8-year-old kids could use it without it just immediately flying off and crashing. The cotter pins holding the shell on fall out pretty easily. It comes with some spares, but I've already run out. I've now just run some wire through the pins. OVERALL: It's the best $120 I've spent in a while. So much fun to zip around the park, and all the kids love it, either to drive themselves or to chase around. ... show more
