My window faces the east, so the rising bright Texas summer sun hits straight into my face in the early morning hours. I had to use thick cardboard to block the light, but it does not look pretty. I bought the burgundy red to try these curtains skeptically, but to my surprise, they work beautifully. They look like satin but very thick and very good quality material. Not only do they block out the light, but the room was dark. The window had a dark red hue like a dim night light around the sides of the curtains, so I at least knew that it was morning when I glanced at the window, or I would have slept through the day. The room was darker than when I use my cardboard to block the light. I am very happy with this purchase.

They do their job they block out the sun. I got the forest green or deep green or whatever I was thinking it was gonna be a little bit more of an army green (faded) but it’s not. It’s more of a silk forest green so it doesn’t really go with my green but It’s fine. No one’s looking in my room anyways. I will say that this retains a lot of static for some reason I’ve had to rub them down with Fabric sheets to help get rid of the static cling. Hopefully these last a while, and I wont have to re-purchase for a while so so far so good just get these best bang for your buck.

I love these curtains so much. They're simple and super pretty, and they block out the sun extremely well. In my second photo you can see that of course the window is still outlined, but that light isn't shining through. They don't blackout completely (but these are the lighter color). The grey ones I got for my living room black out alllll the way. Overall this is exactly what I was looking for for my bedroom and I will 100% buy these again.

Believe the good reviews. I live in the desert and have searched high and low for an effective sun blocking solution at a reasonable cost. I found these curtains.. They received good reviews from numerous buyers, so I took a chance. Thank you, Amazon community. You were right. The quality is excellent. The few wrinkles acquired in the package were reduced while hanging. The fabric is luxurious. I got a light color for moderate sun blocking and they reduce the temp in the family room where the window is west-facing. They are slightly heavier than my previous coverings an I'll need a better hanging system. But they work. I'll be getting more.

Good quality . They're not as good as the Design Solutions Blackout drapes from BBB... which is what I was looking for since they've gone under. However, they're medium thick, very pretty and accurate color vs the picture shown online, they're room darkening for sure. Would be better if the back was a black or silver compared to it's current color same as the front. It says it's a 3 piece design, it surely doesn't look it. Overall, I'd say 3 out of 5 rating.

The curtains were very nice looking right out of the package. They hung straight and looked good. One thing I saw once they were hung was that in strong sunlight the light would come through the weave. Not a whole lot but enough to be noticeable At night it wouldn't be seen but they could use an opaque liner but that would defeat the purpose of buying a " black out " curtain if all you needed was to buy the liner. Life's mysteries, right?

Excellent job in blocking outside light. Removed one star because the Velcro enclosures included to keep open the curtains fell apart after day one. The adhesive used to keep the hook loop and fasteners together didn’t adhere to the fabric properly. I ended up going to a home improvement store and replacing the backing. No biggie, but was an additional extra step.
