Great sunblock ability and still look nice. Good quality as well. I bought 2 pair 5 years ago, and recently bought 2 more for other windows. The darker colors do of course Provide more heat/ sun block than the lighter colors.

I have 1 set of 84" for my patio doors and 2 sets of 64". These are very darkening. No glare on the TV when we close the curtains anymore. They aren't sheer at all. There silky smooth and so shiny. I love these. I have them in taupe color but will get navy and white for other rooms in th3 house.

I love the elegance of the curtains, they look really good. However when it's time for bed in the summer it does not completely darken the room. It blocks a lot of the sunlight, but the sunlight also makes it look purple and lets some light shine through.
