Last year I bought another, cheaper product in white that looked bad and was permanently wrinkled, and also see-through, so I gave up, until summer heat returned again... This time I did a lot of research before ordering and was very happy I found a good quality product. While it had wrinkles from being folded, it was easy to iron them out (takes time though) and the material is really smooth and nice. I was also happy to find shorter curtains here, because they never sell them in stores, and for a very reasonable price. I chose the silver grey, which is a very light grey that looks elegant and goes well with all the colors in the room. I didn't expect total blackout from it, being a lighter color, but it's a lot better than what I thought and can block a fair amount of light and heat. I just wish they came with matching tie-backs, I'm worried about ruining the nice look with a different colored string. It's probably less of a problem for basic colors like, black, white, navy... but this silver is so nice. I'm thinking about ordering more... ... show more

The fabric is very soft, velvety and thick. The color is lovely and matches the room nicely. However, they're not true 100% blackout curtains. They do darken the room, but I'd say maybe only 70-80% at maximum. My husband works graveyard, so the morning light that shines directly into our bedroom window isn't ideal. We were looking for curtains that would darken the room to nighttime levels so he could sleep better. Perhaps a darker color would dampen the light more (we chose the khaki color), but I don't really think it'll help much. ... show more

Love these drapes. Have bought them several times and never had a problem. They are heavy weight, but not overly, and hang just right. They really block the light as well. The only thing was that this size doesn't come with tie backs. Great quality and great price. Will buy again.
