I got these on lightning deal so definitely lower cost than equivalents. I needed these for a south side facing set of windows with heavy sun (great in winter, too hot in summer) and for north facing windows for warmth in winter. That function appears to be exceeding expectations. However, I thought from pictures that I was getting a matte accent. Sometimes merchant photos are just not accurate and it looked white or light gray to me. I should read thru all reviews to find the few ppl that mentioned the silver. What I did to avoid that vibe of an 80s music video done in dollar store decor is to reverse the curtains and removed the care labels. There is a mininal hem at bottom instead of the usual two inches or so. I use tie backs for when company comes and may be taking them down in certain windows unless absolutely needed. If the silver was matte, I would be be completely happy with purchase. Considering the deal, yep, these work to minimalize light and keep things cozy (will have to experience how they work in summer) and will work even if I have to turn them around and spend an hour ironing out the packaging wrinkles. ... show more

Beautiful drapes. Love the look. I purchased 3 pair for my family room and did not notice until I had hung that each pair has one panel that the hem is uneven. I did not want the time and trouble to return and chance the same problem, so I re-hemmed them myself. That’s reason for low mark!
