NCH Debut Video Capture is a great tool for capturing a video of whatever you send to your computer screen. I use Notion 6 to write music notation, which plays the notation note by note on the screen with sound. NCH Debut Video Capture captures what is on the screen and creates an mp4 video of it (other file formats as well). I can then send the video home with a music student for practice. I also bought Video Pad Editor direct from NCH to trim the video to a better length. NCH also has other tools that you may find useful, such as Prism Video File Convertor, Express Burn Disc Burning Software, and WavePad Sound Editor. My only shortcoming so far is overcoming the learning curve of how to use it. The good news is - the user manual/instructions are extensive and there is a lot of tutoring help online and on YouTube.

Don't ever buy digital software through Amazon! Within 30 minutes, I determined that this NCH software did not work as advertised and I applied for a refund. Amazon says they don't do refunds for digital software. I could understand that if I said I changed my mind or something like that, but this product never worked! I contacted NCH and they said they don't do refunds on their products when purchased through Amazon. Notice the circle jerk! What's more, NCH, the software vendor, never did try to determine why their product did not work! They were just happy to get my $39.99 and have no responsibility whatsoever. I've been a customer of Amazon since 1999 and this the ONLY TIME, they have let me down. What a shame! I'll never make another digital software purchase through Amazon!!

I needed something that would allow me to capture gameplay and discord comments from the team. The idea is to edit the video for posting to the team on Youtube. I went through and tested a bunch of different capture software. This is easy to configure. I capture gameplay from World of Warships while our Team, using discord, shall we say offers helpful hints to team members. Would I recommend this product? Yep! Already did and now my brother uses the same software. Just remember, this is video capture software not video edit. That is a very different product and skill set.

Got it to work the first time but something went wrong and I went their web site to download my Pro version (that I paid for) and when I entered my License code I got a message that it wasn't good for the newer version. i searched all over their web site to find out how I download the version that I had, but had no luck in finding my revision so I Logged a Service Request from their support group. I was told that I would have to wait for an answer, unless I paid them first. I've been waiting for two months and they haven't responded to my question as to how to download my revision of their software. I recommend NOT purchasing any kind of software from this company.

I lost some of my old videos when my computer crashed. So, I used this product to copy them from my You Tube channel. Apparently, there is a step down from quality, but I could not tell the difference. I believe there are some other features with this product. I did not use them. I just recorded streaming video from the internet onto my laptop.

I paid for the product and went through the registration process which after entering the activation code took me to a page that gave me a registration code. That registration code does not work and is considered invalid. I had an email sent to me with the code which I copied and pasted as well as manually typed into the necessary box only to be told that my code isn't valid. What a waste of money to get the free version. It really looks like a scam to have people just keep paying $40 over and over again to get bad codes.
