They are truly blackouts. There is a back layering that helps with maintaining the room temperature. The curtains were packed well and were almost wrinkle free. The material is very heavy so be mindful of your curtain rod if using multiple pair. The color is beautiful as well. The length and width are both a little longer than expected. Top of curtain is misleading. I thought curtain was going to come pleated that way. It does not. However it does insulate pretty well. Weather hasn't gotten below freezing yet so we'll see.

These dearfoam curtains are identical to the eclipse brand with the thermaback however the dearfoam backing material feels much better, it's softer and grey colored instead of stiff and white like a pressed shirt. The external texture on this pattern is also identical to my eclipse kendall curtains and the best part is they're half the price since they come in pairs for $10 or so depending on size. Completely blackout and thermal. I only wish I found these before I bought the other brand for my living room. After six months they're still very stiff and these are luxurious right out of the package. If you don't realize the picture shows the curtains bunched in such a way to create pleats and takes minimal effort to replicate the look using $1.92 curtain rods from HD. ... show more
