  • Smooth Gameplay, Hard Copy
This is the disc and not a digital download, which is a huge plus for me for starters. The gameplay is fantastic, especially if you are already a Dead Island series fan. I have had no bugs, no glitches or anything. The storyline has so far been interesting, enough to keep me engaged. The graphics are a big improvement from the last games. The controls are similar to Riptide, but have been improved. You’re not aimlessly swinging like in the first Dead Island. The damage is fair for the enemies, but still adds a challenge. I would recommend this game to all Dead Island fans and first person zombie game lovers! Even third person! ... show more

  • Fun game
Had a great time playing this game. It's fun and has great graphics. There actually quite alot to do in this game. I probably put 60hrs into it trying to do everything with the HAUS DLC.

  • Gory but fun
Once you figure out some things let the killing begin. Remember these are zombies so go crazy. Funny, the Government actually has a manuel on how to kill zombies.

  • Really fun game, and amazingly its not broken
For what it is, its a 5 star experience. It's just fun if you like the old ones. I gave it 5 stars b/c I was able to make it through an entire game without a single glitch--which sadly is no basically unheard of with modern games. Story was OK, engaging enough to keep me interested. But basically the game shines if you really love slicing and shooting zombies & mini-bosses. Overall I was very satisfied with this reboot--and its one of the very few games I've played in the past few years that actually was a complete game (Elden Ring another gem). Nearly every game I've purchased in the past few years or so is broken horribly in some way (Cyberpunk I'm looking at you) or becomes more unstable and unplayable overtime (Halo Infinite I'm looking at you--an entire season to fix the settings & broken melees???). So all in all if you liked the first ones--you will enjoy this one. So thanks for a fun game, I'll probably replay this with another character down the road. ... show more

  • Better In Every Way
I’ve been playing these zombie sandbox titles since the original Dead Island, and I can say that Dead Island 2 is the best of the bunch. This game is also leaps and bounds better than the very mediocre Dying Light 2. If you just want to wander around and kill zombies, it’s a blast, the collectibles are interesting and the locations are just straight awesome and dripping with personality. If you’re someone who treats games as a check box and sprinting to get to the end, it won’t be a long game for you, but you’re missing out on the fun playing that way. I recommend this game to any zombie genre fan. I personally can’t wait to play through with all the different characters, and can’t wait for future content. Hopefully if they make a DI 3 it will follow this one’s formula. 5/5. No complaints from me. ... show more

  • Great game!
I never played the first Dead Island but after hearing so many good things about the sequel, I decided to pick it up for the Xbox Series X. Lots of fun, nice graphics, interesting characters and solid combat.

  • A blast
Yes, it's Dead Island. But I'll be damned if it's not the best-looking zombie game I've ever seen. The zombies literally fall apart, piece-by-piece as you attack. And smooth game play. Haven't found a single bug in the first half of the game. Just gorgeous.
