Really no complaints. This hobby is brand new to me. Music theory definitely helps and I guess I'm confused as to why turntable DJs bash on this. It's tough and it's a lot of fun. I just wish I knew how to make vocals disappear. I'm learning by doing and watching a YouTube video here and there, aka self taught. Great value as well. I freaking love this thing!! I'm an experienced DJ, have a full Pioneer CDJ 3000 set up in my basement, also have a Prime 4 controller but I wanted something that I could just have on my lap and play with on my couch with my laptop and this fit the bill PERFECTLY! Now when the husband is watching sports or whatever, I call up rekordbox, plug this in and I'm having a blast. Haven't had a single issue with it yet, does what it's supposed to do and is way better than rekordbox djing with a mouse :) Well worth every penny! I don't use the audio connections since I have an audio interface connected to my laptop so I can't speak on that, but everything else with this little gem is perfect. ... show more

    • Don't waste your money...!!!
Poor quality construction/build. Used it 5 times and the volume/aux port failed. Aux. cable connection was loose and had to wiggle and tape in place to get audio signal out. Pioneer support repaired it under warranty. Used the controller twice since the repair was made and the same problem has manifested again. Volume/aux port is loose. Called the repair shop that fixed it, but of course, the controller is out of factory warranty (1 year) and 2 weeks past the 90 day warranty period from the repair shop. Any further repairs are out of pocket with a $75 diagnostic fee to troubleshoot the controller, which is about half the price of the original purchase price. Not worth the money or problems... I'm sure there's a better quality controller that won't fail after using it 5 times out of the box and then fail again, after repairs were made, using original Pioneer factory parts, for the same reason after using it twice.     • Set up has not been easy
I feel like it would be great if I could figure out how to set EVERYTHING up. I read its easy so maybe I am missing something or its just that I need the right aux cord with a speaker, but even connecting a laptop or tablet to it, i can't get the sound to come out of the controller. Ive bought both app subscriptions for it AND had to get premium Spotify and I am still unable to get songs on there. I have so many questions as a beginner which is obv why I bought the "beginner" controller. Is there a customer service number I can call? Rather than having to go through a million different tutorials to try to figure out what's wrong ans getting frustrated. It's probably a small easy thing I'm missing so until I figure out what is going on I can not accurately rate it. I just really want some assistance with this because I was really excited and I can Play around on my phone a bit, but havent been able to actually use the controller once. Also, so people know, it does not work with Chromebook, which was disappointing. ... show more
