Its 100% preference. It’s at such a great price point that there’s not too much regret if it’s not quite what you want. Went with the stainless steel just in case I didn't like the product. Save yourself the effort and upgrade to sterling silver if you can. Trendy, affordable and easy to read. I got this necklace with my son’s name on it. When it arrived it was more copper colored than gold, the discoloration and dingy-ness just got worse and worse. I took it off to sleep and shower as the instructions say to do and the color still tarnished. They advertise that it’s tarnish resistant which isn’t true at all. Not the mention the super cheap material it feels and looks like a gas station necklace. I’m on day 7 of reaching out to the seller asking for some kind of refund. They’ve asked for a picture which I provided, they’ve asked for multiple pictures since then as if something in the picture is going to change? Then they said they could give me a 10% refund which would equal to a $2 refund. 100% would not recommend this necklace or anything from the seller. ... show more
