I tried several seats to r]eplace the hard one that came with my bike. All the ones I tried were no better, until I got this one. Bigger, but not too much bigger. Softer and more comfortable. The downside: it is too easy to turn the lights on accidentally when lifting the bike, and the red plastic cover has popped off several times, and the battery is difficult to replace once the seat is installed (hard to get at). So I just let the battery die and didn't replace it, and let the red plastic cover come off and tired of putting it back on so just leave it off....but the reason I bought the seat is for the comfort, and that's what counts for me.....It's the most comfortable seat I tried without being overly huge. ... show more

Happy with purchase. Seat strikes a good middle ground between narrow road saddle, and very wide comfort saddle. Construction is solid and cushion padding is firm. I've had many padded seats split open after a short while, I don't see that happening with this one. • Seat is a bit heavy. • Built in LED is a nice feature, though it takes button batteries, and I prefer and regularly use a rechargeable blinky. • There are two common systems for mounting a seat to the seat-post, and this seat will work with either. (Older universal system is a set of mating nuts and clamps, newer system relies on the hardware that's part of the seat post.) • Thoughtful extras include an open end wrench (for the old type) and a hefty hex wrench (for newer seat posts). Also comes with a durable rain cover - I guess if you're leaving your bike out, the seat will be dry under the cover. • Final word - Your first eval of any seat should be its shape, and no one seat will be great for everyone. But I do think this seat is not too wide, not too narrow, and not as hard as a road bike seat. For me, it's Goldilocks and it's just right. One star off for weight, and what is for me, an unnecessary built in binky. ... show more

I found the racing seat that came with my Peloton bike to be hard and somewhat uncomfortable. Although I realized that most people get used to this in a few weeks or a couple of months, I looked at other options. I considered padded seat covers, padded bike shorts and new seats. My problem was only the bony part of my butt, not my thighs or anything else. I never considered the bike shorts. When I read about seat covers, I found that some people complained that they could slip while riding. The cost of the covers that were highly rated was close to the cost of this seat and I figured that the seat was probably a better choice. This is not a super wide seat, but it is wider than the racing seat by several inches. It is not a soft seat, but it is significantly softer than the standard Peloton seat. I have used it for over a month and it looks like new with no change in shape or signs of wear. When I first started using it, there was still a bit of soreness, but it was less than with the standard seat and now I am used to it. The only issue that I had was that the clamp that comes with the seat does not work with the Peloton seat post. I had to remove the clamp from the original Peloton seat and swap out the clamp on the Daway seat. That requires some care and attention to the orientation of the parts on both seats, but when finished with the swap it was fine. You will have to adjust the position and angle of the seat for riding comfort, of course. In any case, as of a month plus into this, I am very happy with the quality of the product. Bought this seat over 2 years ago and it still looks great and no issues except the button for the light is getting a bit finicky. I need to press it multiple times to turn off. Otherwise I the seat is really great. Very very comfortable. Just bought another one for my electric bike which I refused to ride because how stiff it felt on the roads. Tried 3 different seats for it but no relief.. until now. With this seat it feels like a whole new bike. Really pleased. ... show more

Worked great at first, then within a few days one of the five lamps stopped working. Within a month, the battery cover, which is on the underside, fell off somewhere other than my garage. Does not work at all now. I gave it a three as the seat is okay.
