Many of these online colognes are sketchy. You spray them on, 20 minutes later, the smell is gone. Then you question whether what you bought has been watered down, is real, and so on. I believe this item is legit. I received the item about 6 hours ago. It came in an unopened Beckham box and I could detect no scent at all, even after removing the lid, until I actually put a squirt on either wrist. It still smells strong even 6 hours later, so you can have confidence that this one will actually last. I do not know how to describe the scent as I am not a scentophile. It smells manly, and I would say it is not too heavy and not too light, but a little more heavy than light - which probably makes no sense to anyone other than me. It has been so long since I found a cologne that actually lasts more than a few minutes that I'm a little awestruck. This mom tends to have expensive taste when it comes to personal fragrances, so he's worn everything from Coty to Chanel. He always comes back to this one. It's light & fresh with a bit of woods, not overpowering, and perfect for both day and evening. It lasts a while as well, especially when spritzed atop a bit of unscented moisturizer right out of the shower. My son is about to purchase bottle #3 on his own.
