Very surprised on how well this works - most of the time these items don't hold up but I had this placed over my charge cable overnight during a snowstorm; It seems high winds didn't move this cover at all and my charge door didn't get completely iced over. As you can see I've gotten the whole cover over the ID4's large charge door and just barely have enough room to cover around the port, wish they would make this just a tiny bit bigger for total coverage, but so far so good where I don't have to melt and chip away ice when I'm ready to drive. Magnets might do OK in slush but for a pile of powdery snow it held up really well, but I think that's contributed more by putting it over the door cover. Overall something much needed if you don't have a garage for your EV - believe me trying to pry a EVSE plug from an icy port in the middle of the morning isn't the best, especially if you might damage some rubber trim.

Will know more after at least 1 rainy/snow season…as of Nov2022 Using on a 2023 Tesla model 3 outside charging and so far seems to be a fair fit without major issues. Tail tie-off is too loose/sloppy for an electric cable, could use improvement or different design. Will update spring of 2023

The ice storm yesterday would have frozen my charge cord latch and prevented removal if I had not had the cover on. That said, I did not notice the fire picture when I purchased. If I had, I would have bought a similar product from a competitor. Any EV driver knows that this ignorant image is complete BS, as it is perfectly safe to plug in and unplug in a driving rain. There is zero risk of shock or fire. This FUD is pointed to by the ignorant who spread nonsense about the safety of electric cars. Please remove this image from the marketing

I live in Steamboat Springs, Colorado where we get a lot of snow. Unfortunately I don’t have a garage so was looking for some sort of charge port cover for my new 2022 model Y. I found this product and it’s works great. The magnet around the outer edge sticks perfectly to the metal around the charge port opening keeping the snow and ice out. I highly recommend this for model Y owners!

Fits nicely over the charging port. Great protection against rain and snow. Not a full 360 degree snug fit but it fits very well over the charging port and keeps everything nice and dry

This says it works with most cars, but in fact it ONLY works with cars that have metal around the electric housing and in my case I have a Chevy Bolt EV and it does not stick, but I have been able to get the most that I can out of the product to keep out as much water and snow as I can.
