I bought this duvet set when my husband and I finally decided to invest in a new mattress. We wanted some thing beautiful but cozy and durable because we have pets who sometimes sleep with us. I did some research and decided to go with linen when I stumbled across this duvet set. I got the beige color, so it’s not 100% linen, but it is a 55% linen 45% cotton blend. It has ties in every corner and on every side to hold the duvet in place and a button closure. I was very pleased with the color when it came in. The beige is true to color, not too yellow or too gray. After my duvet inserts came in I decided to put it together and try it out on the bed. I didn’t initially wash it because I wanted to see how it looked. And no surprise it looked great and it felt good! My husband has sensitive skin and certain fabric textures can cause him to break out if thy are too rough. So he laid under it for a little bit to feel it out. He said it was a little scratchy and he thought it might irritate his skin. I do not have sensitive skin and I tried it and it felt fine. Not super scratchy but it could be softer. I knew linen gets softer after its washed so I wasn’t worried about it. We decided that we were going to keep it and so it was washed. After it came out it was much softer, not drastically, but it was enough for my husband to feel the difference. Its very durable heavy material but not hot. The stitching looks nice and the buttons are a beautiful natural wood color. It honestly feels like we’re sleeping in a hotel every night! The pillow shams fit king-size pillows beautifully. The only negative thing would say is that it doesn’t cover the sides of the bed very much. it’s a little too short if you want it to come down and cover your mattress. I have a very deep mattress but even if I didn’t, it still wouldn’t cover the whole thing. Overall five out of five stars for everything else! I would definitely buy this again. I am so happy I ordered this duvet set. The quality, look, and feel are all wonderful. I purchased this in olive. I would say it veers closer to pine green than olive, but it does look as is depicted in the photos--which is what I had hoped for. (To me, in the listing, it also looks closer to a pine green.) I'm happy with the zip-closure and the corner ties--which make it easier to secure the comforter. And the stitching around the edges of both the duvet and pillow covers gives this a nice modern and clean-looking finish. No regrets making this purchase. ... show more

Firstly this is a well made lovely duvet set and worth the price. The pink clay color is a bit more coral/orange than the pics show. I still love it though and bought a second set in the Smokey pink color as well. I planned to keep one of the sets depending which color I liked best, but plan to keep them both! It is soft and breathable and looks nice. I also love all the ties and zipper enclosure. Including pics of that set as well so you can see the differences in the pinks (before it was washed and just laid on the bed to get an idea of the color). Love everything about this duvet cover but the weight. Color is lovely & softened up nicely with a couple of washes, but it’s pretty darned heavy. We bought a summer weight goose down comforter after we’d bought and returned a combo feather/down comforter that was far too warm. The summer weight goose down comforter is far better matched with the weight of this duvet cover. It’s well constructed , in a lovely shade of natural linen that is beautiful neutral. I really like that there’s a hidden zipper enclosure. No outside ties or buttons to hold the comforter in! This is a very polished look and no risk of losing a butter in the laundry. You might have a little trial and error before you find your best matched comforter/duvet cover but it’ll be worth it ... show more

I've been eyeing a linen duvet cover from an expensive store we can call PB. But I just didn't want to spend 200-300. I came across a full down duvet in Costco for around $99. I would call it a winter weight. We don't have cold winters here, but I wanted the extra full look. I first purchased the pure white DAPU duvet cover. It arrived quickly, perfect condition, had a zip closure and was very soft. The label also said "100% French Linen". I noticed other reviews saying the linen wasn't that soft, but to me, this was really nice and soft, so I was confused. Anyway, it looked great on my bed but I felt it was actually TOO white. I returned that and ordered the Off-white, which turned out to be more what I was looking for. The off-white cover has a button closure and is 50% cotton and 50% linen and definitely isn't as soft. We are not sleeping directly under the duvet, so this isn't a big deal to us. Other reviews say it gets softer with each wash, so we will see. I included a couple photos showing the color. The euro pillows on my bed are listed as "Sour Cream" as the color, and the folded coverlet also matches those. So you can see how the DAPU Off-white is slightly lighter/brighter than these. The king size pillow cover shown is also DAPU and appears even more white. Overall I'm super pleased with the overall look of things for a lot less than that other retailer! ... show more
