Yes, you can machine wash it. We recommend to wash it in gentle machine cycle on 85°F with similar colors. Tumble dry at low heat. Ironing on 230°F. Do not dry clean. Do not use detergent that contains bleach or whitener. I find linen pills after wash it. How do i remedy this problem? We finally replaced our old mattress and upgraded from a queen to a king. I decided to go all out on the bedding (white goose down pillows and duvet from Pacific Coast Feather Company). I already had this duvet cover set in natural linen (Queen size) and we were very happy with it. The matching pillowcases have an envelope closure at the open end, to tuck the pillow into and hide from view. I decided to get the same set again in King and this time I got White. I wasn't sure how it would look, but I'd say it's a nice true white. I don't think it's too stark, but you can see in the photo compared to the off-white headboard and light grey pillowcases, that the cover is indeed white. Again the texture is linen so it looks very inviting and sophisticated. Keep in mind that if you want the 100% linen cover, you will have to get either the natural or white color. The other colors are cotton blends (I think). There are some very pricey linen duvet cover options, but this inexpensive one is a great find; it is high-quality and the previous one we had held up really well. I am always on the hunt for comfortable yet affordable bedding and linen is by far my fabric of choice. Linen is very expensive but if it's made well, price isn't really an indicator of quality. This duvet is a great budget pick that is excellent quality. It is 100% linen and very thick (similar to a well-made linen napkin). Pink clay is exactly as it looks on the website. It's a coral-pink shade with no orange tones. It is almost an exact match for the Pink Clay shade by Bed Threads (which is double the price too!). This duvet is slightly lighter. Most importantly, this is the only linen brand I've bought that has 8 ties for the insert! I'm very happy with this but my only slight disappointment is that the brand doesn't sell sheets that match this. ... show more

Honesty, I bought this to see if I liked the feel of linen. Given the price of linen bedding, this duvet cover is very reasonably priced. I'm hopeful this linen will last quite a long while, with proper care. It's got a certain texture at first that may be offputting to those of us spoiled by (environmentally atrocious) sinfully soft synthetic fabrics. The texture softens with washing though, and I must say I adore the softness now that I've washed it twice. I later purchased bed sheets from The Citizenry, which are said to be of higher quality... They may be a tad thicker than this duvet cover, but it's hard to tell. This is truly a lovely duvet cover: eight ties, zipper is hidden, and color is just shy of white. The pillow cases are fashioned so as to not slip off the pillows- bonus. My bed feels truly delightful now, and looks beautiful to boot! I dont have so much trouble with temperature regulation, now that I've switched over to all natural materials. P.s. I got a lightweight wool comforter, also from the Amazon gods, to use with this duvet. ... show more

I shopped so much to find the perfect one. Just got it, have not washed and have not used. Linen is smoother and cooler than the pottery bard oeko-tex one, heavier, good feel to it. Put it by my side to let the smell out, and my skin itches a little. I am sensitive to all chemicals. Pottery barn one did not smell at all, so I asked a question to the vendor and waiting for response. Linen fees great, but flex color I ordered seems to be not true flex color, but dyed. I choose flex even I like white but flex color is normally not dyed at all, therefore stronger and no chemical dye or bleach. but I could be wrong about this one. not sure what stars to give but this is the true report. pro: really smooth, heavier than the pottery barn ones. con: chemical smell, not true linen color overall price is excellent for normandy linen, the best. but I am bit worried about if chemical is involved or not. I may return. it is sad to return it but I don't know if I washed it it will let go of the smell. ... show more

Found this rare gem that only improved after purchase. Quality construction, professional top notch customer service. Better than than other high end bedding purchases from PineConeHilll, RestorationHardware, PotteryBarn and other fine quality bedding manufacturers. Color: A slight beige tone and sheen washed out as expected. The sheen is less than a washed sateen sheet. It is also not a flat matte finish. These white linens are also the perfect color to blend with other white textures in your bedding. Photo shows colors: top- sheet of printer paper to see level of white, right - linen before washing and left - linen after washing. Scent: There is a scent to the linens as all new fabric come with a treatment for sizing. The scent can also be caused by the plastic zippered packaging. No one is expected to use these linens without washing them first. This would be like putting PJs straight on a toddler without washing them first. There is no smell after washing. Construction: The stitching and fabric are perfectly mastered. There are 8 ties to keep an insert in place instead of 4. The hidden zipper is a preferred feature instead of a lumpy gapped button closure. The zipper is hidden with excellent seam work. The pillow case envelope flap is better designed and executed than my Restoration Hardware linen pillow shams. Nice weight to the duvet with no need for an insert in mild climates. Seams did not puff after washing. Washing: The washing instructions are on the label. Initially I didn’t see this and used warm water wash with a delicate drying cycle. I didn’t see any negative effects. The manufacturer knows best so I will follow the instructions next time. I did iron the pillow cases and smooth wrinkles out of the slightly damp duvet on top of my bed. Ironing is not needed unless you go overboard to get the perfectly neat bedding look. Customer Service: Hands down a very well run company with professional, timely responses. I will check out their other products. I didn’t expect to like this purchase so much. I have found a classic look that I will not be replaeing in a few years. This is a classic calm white look using quality materials and construction. DUPA has impressed me with being a company that knows the importance of customer service and making quality products. I never take the time to write reviews other than a star selection. Received this as part of an anniversary present from my husband. I couldn’t love it more. It fit my down blanket perfectly, it has inside ties at the corners AND in the middle of each side. I’ll need to slightly modify the down blanket to accommodate the ties but that’s easily done. Everything about this comforter cover is beautiful, it’s a perfect weight, it feels satisfying to touch, it looks gorgeous on our bed AND it came with two pillow shams.
