I have loved and worn Dansko open back clogs for years. I have a very high arch and a wide foot (D) and these were more comfortable and more loved than bedroom slippers to me. I wear them all day, days in a row. Wanting a more closed up clog, I ordered these Dansko clogs with the heel strap in a size 40 (9.5-10 American) because I wear 9-9.5 in American, depending on the shoe style. So I wasn't sure which size to choose. And the back strap was very loose and would never do. Very disappointed, I sent them back. I tried another brand and they were of much lesser quality and not comfortable in the least. I almost gave up. But I decided to try Dansko again in a smaller size 39 (8.5-9 American). They fit like a dream. They are dainty looking (and believe me, no one has ever called my size 9 foot dainty). I'm so glad I listened to another reviewer and tried a smaller size. I apparently have been wearing the wrong size open-back clog all these years and never knew it because they are just so completely comfortable. Extremely comfortable and classy looking. My recommended size was 37. Had to return for 36 (supposed to compare to US 5.5-6). The 36 fits perfectly.

These shoes are so cute and comfortable. I wear a 8.5, and the 39 fit perfectly. The only thing that I don’t like is that the strap looks like it has a buckle, but it’s decorative only. The strap connects with Velcro.

These are super nice closed toe sandals. I absolutely love them. They were comfortable right from the start! They have excellent arch support and I feel like I can wear them with a dress or dress them down with some cute jeans, they feel sturdy and very well made. The only thing I would change is the strap, I really wish it had a buckle since I wear an 8.5 and had to size up, they were a tad bit big on me. I might take them to a shoe repair place and ask them to put on an actual buckle. Other than that, I give these shoes two thumbs up! 👍🏽👍🏽 ... show more

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! I am on my feet all day. They are SO easy to wear that I can even run across a parking lot in them with no problem. I have logged many, many hours with this pair of shoes and they still manage to stay new looking. My feet don't get sweaty in them, either. The materials are so high quality that I can see why they are on the higher end in price. I have gone through multiple pairs of cheaper dress shoes and these will actually save me money in the long run from having to buy more shoes.
