When I opened the box, I was a little concerned because the shoes looked narrow, but surprisingly, the are roomy enough even for a heavier weight sock without my foot feeling squeezed. If you need built in arch support, these shoes have it. I am used to taking out the insole and replacing it with my custom arch support, but with the Dansko Peony, I didn’t have to. They are lightweight and have a nice cushiony feel, but with some structure built in. I wish they came in a better selection of colors (I ended up with the white), but these will work for me. Also, they come with two different types of shoelaces. One is a flat elastic, which would be a good option if your feet are a bit wider, and the other is a round lace which worked better for me. I haven’t gone for a long walk yet, but I think these shoes will keep my feet comfortable.

Great shoes and really pretty! Love the elastic laces. I wear an 8.5 to a 9 womens, and these were a bit small and narrow. My toes just tap the toe end of shoe. Going to try a size up and see if that works.

I've worn Dansko Pace sneakers for years since they fit me perfectly and need no breaking in. I was ready for a change though, and I gave the Peony a try. I really liked the style, colors, and the option to go hands-free when putting them on, but the toe box was a bit too narrow and they felt a little less cushiony and flexible. I'll have to stick to the Pace but wish the Peony had worked out for me!

I love these shoes. I had bought a pair at a local dept store but wanted another pair but could not find white with the color I wanted these are the perfect color. Loved the color and stretchy shoelaces and they included normal ones, too! The heel back acts like a shoehorn making them easy to put on esp with the elastic shoelaces. I wear 38 in Dansko and the 38 fit in this sneaker. In US sizes, I'm 7.5-8 but in most sneakers need to size up like most of us. Could have a little bit more arch support but it wasn't a deal breaker. However, this is a narrow fitting sneaker! I'm trying to decide whether to keep them, not knowing how my feet may feel at the end of the day or after an 8mi walk. Very conflicted because I love the yellow color.
