They have a wider base for your toes, making them exceptionally comfortable, and the straps are adjustable. The shoe is well made, comfortable and pretty. However, while the sole is thick the heel is not raised. Therefore, without the constraint of a closed toe, the sandal constantly slips off. Despite how pretty and comfy it is, wearing it is not worth risking a fall.

I bough this sandal in silver. It is good looking enough for dinner on the cruise and supportive enough to walk about the ship all day. A good multi-purpose choice when traveling with only carryon.

I have found that Dansko sandals, shoes and clogs are one of the very few brands that I can wear without causing discomfort. I love this style, the Dayna sandal, but I have a difficult time wearing them because there is no toe grip. The sole has no indentations or bumps near the toe end to help your feet grip or not slide out of the sandals while wearing. My foot frequently slides out of the heel area and I'm stepping on the side of the sandal or the sandal falls off, even causing me to trip a couple times.
