Bought this pair in August 2014. Easily wear them five out of seven days. I'm a Civil Engineer, so I can get away wearing them with Dockers or jeans, always using the excuse that I expect to be in the field later in the day... (Have not figured out an excuse to wear them on Sunday, to church, so I fall back to Tony Lamas for that couple hours.) This pair is a replacement for a pair I got from an uncle at 17 years old. I bought these when I turned 52. The first pair I had resoled five times. When I got ready to resole them again, my wife said "No"; yes, the leather is too worn now. (I still wear them on the weekends, at the lake cabin. They're like houseshoes, now.) These boots wear like iron. Yes, they're expensive, relative to cheap hikers. The boot is fine purchase the wrong size it lace closed needed the 10d instead of the 10.5d. The insulated boot a half size larger is no problem. The thicker socks works fine in the insulated boot.

These boots are well constructed and by far the best out of any other boots I have owned. I enjoy the comfort and expect these boots to hold up throughout the years. Would have given five stars if the price wasn't so steep. Time will tell if the purchase was worth the price.
