Had high hopes for these boots, but as some have stated, the caiman leather on these boots looks painted. Not impressed at all.

Back in the day, many Dan Post boots were on par with the better made boots in the US like Lucchese. The last few pairs I have bought usually end up being donated to a charity. The boots are made in Mexico which is fine as many good boots are made there but Dan Post are not up to the same standard as many other brands I have bought made in Mexico. To be fair, they are cheaper than all Lucchese boots and priced around the lower end Mexican boots. Not knocking Dan Post as you get what you pay for. Lower cost boots that should last a long time. Also, not a fan of inserts in western boots as they will never mold to your feet. When removing the insert, these boots are just cheaply made on the footbed. ... show more
