I always thought they might be too hot for the weather and I always remembered my old boots (30 years ago) used to be pretty heavy to walk around in. I found these boots to be a perfect pair of boots to get started wearing here in Florida. They are very comfortable to wear and to walk around in and they also look great and I get plenty of compliments on them. In addition, they are airy enough up top to not be too hot in the S. Florida heat, but they are still boots so they are not sandals in the warm weather. Bought specifically for the rubber soles. I love boots on the motorcycle, but slippery leather soles are just terrible when you're in a parking lot. Wore them the past couple weeks and absolutely loved having traction! Color was great. Nice grey, not shiny silver.. Fit was pretty good. I always get 10's, but these seemed just a bit loose. A little more movement than I'd like. Pretty close for online without trying them on. Not sure if a half size down would be be perfect or if it would overshoot. I'll probably just get them wet and let them settle on my feet. (They're going to get wet anyway!) ... show more

Never even put the boot on. So badly want a good pair of cowhide gray boots. I did not want to spend $300-$500 on an exotic pair so I bought these. Reading the other reviews they talked about how they don’t look worn, they look more Like they weren’t stained correctly . As you can see in the pictures, there are large brown areas.
