With a brand like Dan Post, how can you go wrong?? Sizes run just right, so order your normal shoe size. I have worn a 9½ boot for decades, and these tan boots fit perfectly. I liked these so much, I purchased another pair in black too! Price is nice too!!

It is a nice boot it was a little to tight. But the boots have stretched since I have been wearing them. All boots have to be broken in but these were a little tight. I have ordered boot stretchers in case this happens again. But I will continue to purchase and wear Dan Post because I enjoy the quality of the boot. I just wish I could confirm where the boot is made, USA or Mexico. I ordered the same size that I have been wearing this was the first time that the boots were this tight. Maybe I will try a 1/2 size larger (hence the boot stretchers) ... show more

Let me start by saying I am an old cowboy. I grew up on a cattle ranch,so I learned at a young age the importance of a good boot. A bad,or even mediocre boot can make a day miserable. I have made the mistake of buying boots with man made lining,soles,ect. They all ended up in the garbage. These Dan Post remind me of my favorite pair of handmade boots I got when I was 18 or so. I wore them until they fell apart. If you are looking for old school quality at a price that wont break the bank these boots are what you are looking for. I can tell by the quality of the workmanship as well as the leather,these boots will last for years with proper care. Also,for you fellow horse people,the soles are cut in the instep enough so they will stay in the stirrup. It amazes me how many companies that make what they call cowboy boots dont know enough to narrow tje sole to fit stirrups. One final note. I order mine a bit tight around my foot...just snug. When they are worn the leather will stretch a bit and conform to your foot. Mine already fit like a nice pair of slippers. 5 stars all the way. UPDATE...I have owned these boots for close to a year now. They still look great and have become as comfortable as a nice pair of slippers. These are made well from quality leather. I will be buying a pair in black soon. Still 5 stars all the way. UPDATE Its been over a year since I purchased these boots. Just one observation. The biggest difference between quality boots and cheaply made boots is that quality boots just keep getting more comfortable. Cheap boots are quite the opposite. They fall apart after a moderate amount of wear,getting more uncomfortable as they break down. These Dan Post boots are quality for sure. I challenge anyone to show me a better boot in this price range. Dont bother looking. You wont find better for this price. FINAL THOUGHT These would make a great gift for anyone who would value a good pair of boots. These would be a gift that keeps on giving. ... show more
