I have purchased many Dan Post boots. Some from Amazon and some from others. I was surprised to see that these were selling for 50% less than the Dan Post web site. After receiving them I observed the following: The coloring was slightly different between the left and the right. The right boot was very hard to slip on. It seemed to be tighter in the ankle. Finally starting to loosen up. Even with the slight disappointment I have with these boots they still feel very comfortable! I like the rustic look but after evaluating this pair I have concerns that the price was reduced because it was not of the quality that I have come to expect from Dan Post. Had an issue processing from the initial payment attempt. Somedays later I had success. Is as described. I should have gotten a 9 and a half but these will be fine.

I found that the upper boot shaft could be a bit larger as putting the boots on requires a great amount of effort. However, once the boot is fully on, the fit is near perfect. Hopefully, this will improve with additional break in.

Only had them a couple weeks so this may be a bit premature. The boots are good and appear to be typical Dan Post high quality. They're not as soft as I was expecting and will take some wearing to break in. I have the similar Palomino-colored boot and bought these because I love the Palominos and Dan Post is discontinuing the style. Whereas the Palominos were glove-soft and slipper-comfortable right out of the box, these are a bit stiffer and not as comfortable. However, I'm pretty confident that with some breaking in, they will work out fine. Well, it's been over a year now and these boots have never really broke in right. I've worn them lots and even trudged them through plenty of mud and wet grass to try and soften them up. No amount of boot creme seems to help. They're OK, but not what I would expect from Dan Post. ... show more
