I have a 6'-6" fish ... and I needed a 7' board bag to fit it in with fins. My board would not fit in a 6'-6" bag with fins ... I tried and had to return it. It is also a bit wider than needed. Notice the nose is wide ... lots of extra, unneeded space up there. Other than that, it is a good bag, like the white to keep it cool, and the zipper seems to be pretty good quality. ... show more

I bought a Firewire, Rob Machado, Too Fish, length 5'3. I ordered the Dakine 5'4 thinking it would be a perfect match. I was wrong, I had to return the 5'4 Dakine bag and get the 5'8. The length was fine, but I keep my fins on my board and with the keel fins, my fish created so much height that the Dakine 5'4 bag wouldn't shut.     • Be aware, only 1 zipper pull for main compartment
I had an earlier version of this bag that I loved. I bought this one in Lava Tubes color to replace it, and its still fairly good quality for the price. The big disappointment is that they cheaped out and only used one zipper pull for the main compartment, instead of two like the older bag (and literally every other surfboard bag on the market). Its really, really inconvenient to run the zipper now all the way around and down the side. Which, you are going to have to do every time you use the bag.
