I purchased two of these helmets, one for me and my spouse. After reading almost all of the positive reviews about the quality and included features I felt comfortable with the purchase, pulling the trigger, and being even more impressed once they arrived. I've never owned a modular helmet before but have had plenty of experience with other 3/4 and touring helmets. Don't let the price fool you, the quality of this helmet will shock you and is a great value for the money! As a few other people had mentioned, the size ran a size big for me as well even after measuring my head and believing I was an XL, I had to send back my first unit and exchange it for a size smaller. If you believe you're a between size person or unsure if you should go larger, go on the side of caution and go a size smaller. The inner padding is removable, and well-constructed. You can unsnap and remove the sides and also remove the liner for the top of the head that runs from back to front. The helmet comes with clear and smoked outer visors which are easily exchanged. The smoked visor appears dark on the outside but would be perfect while wearing it. The unit has two air vents with one on top and the other in front of mouth area. The convenient chin strap latch allows you to tighten things up and release relatively easy. After removing all of the padding, I had access to install my wired headsets I bought separately that worked with my touring motorcycle. Everything fit well with the ear speakers fitting nicely in the recessed, molded areas, and I was able to tuck the wiring safely out of view, which was covered once reinstalling the padding. For a modular helmet, I was impressed with the weight, all things considered. I didn't find it to be any heavier than what I was used to with my previous helmets. The latching chin/face cover was easy to maneuver up and down and I was able to tuck my headset microphone in front of my mouth after closing the front. The helmet is DOT certified and arrives packaged nicely in a well-constructed box with the typical cloth helmet bag. The extra smoked visor is packaged separately within the box and I was able to switch out visors and reuse the plastic bag to keep my clear one nice. Overall, an excellent purchase, especially for my spouse who does not ride with me all that often. Looks great, feels great, is great! ... show more

It's been decades since owning a motorcycle, and the helmet back then, though one of good quality and construction, can't be compared to the helmet received today. This helmet with all of its features is easily worth $300. There are two vents: one on top and another on the chin. The helmet is heavy and DOT certified, so it will protect your noggin. If you have a large face, you may want to get a size larger than your typical size, because the chin strap tends to press against your jugular - you wouldn't want to pass out from a lack of oxygen. But the strap itself is of excellent quality with an unusually heavy duty locking mechanism. ... show more

Recently bought for a cross-country, 8500 mile journey. The helmet fits good and has decent ventilation. Worked really well at freeway speeds with very limited road noise. Only 4-stars?: the visor does not stay clicked-close. Heavy winds in Kansas would keep opening the visor. I've never put on a helmet before and had no idea how they were supposed to fit. I'm 6'1" about 215lb and expected to require a large helmet considering I where XL clothes, Even thought I tried on some helmets at Walmart I was still unsure of what size to get, I finally decided to get a medium figuring it's better to be to snug than to loose, and I'm thankful I did it fits perfectly and the extra tinted shield is awesome even at night and the built in tinted shades is amazing for riding towards the sun when it's just above the horizon, directly blinding you. ... show more
