I ordered and assembled this for my mother who always misses riding her bike during the winter. I will say it's a little tricky to assemble using just the manual, but the instructional video they put up by the description helps fill in all those gaps. It's extremely sturdy: I don't worry about my mother when she's up on her bike with it. It looks nice, is easy to adjust, and fits her bike perfectly. That said, I can't say in all honesty that it's all that quiet. It's something that's advertised in this model, but because of what you're asking it to do, it's honestly impossible to realistically expect that from any bike trainer stand. Friction makes noise. A lot of friction makes a lot of noise. I definitely recommend this model for its overall ease-of-use, look, and function, but don't expect it to perform miracles for you as far as noise management is concerned. If it bugs you, buy noise-canceling headphones and tune it out, or just commit to an indoor stationary bike and let your outdoor bike chill in the shed for the season. Either way, this is a worthy purchase as long as you know what you're getting into.

This was not hard to assemble, but do not read the instructions that come with it. They are poorly translated, misnaming parts. Watch the videos on the Amazon site and it will be much clearer. The frame seems to be very sturdy and stable. When I first put it together I started with the tension too high and decided that doing that would make the rear tire wear out to fast. On the other hand, lite tension makes it to easy to peddle, even when adjusted by the dial to make it hard. There is probably some middle ground I have to find. We have it set up in a room with nice carpet and padding. The noise level is not bad at all. About as loud as 12 inch fan or a wondow air conditioner. I believe if I were sleeping in the next room over I wouldn't be awakened by it. We have only used it for two 30 minute sessions so far, if anything changes, I'll edit this review.

I was able to get this for under $30 so I thought it was a good deal. The package was previously opened and it looks like the other Amazon customer gave up trying to assemble it. The hardware was fine. The resistance is not amazing. But it works. It is also compact so we are currently keeping it next to our Ikea couch. The instructions is the killer. It does not explain everything to assemble. What explanations were provided were written poorly. If you are not mechanically inclined it might be difficult. My husband was irritated and mumbling and grumbling while assembling it. Let’s just say if on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best, Ikea is 3.5 and these instructions 1.5. If there were better instructions and the price was reasonable I would give it 5 stars.

This product works well and is an affordable way to do a stationary bike, especially if you only need it for a few months (like for knee surgery rehab). If I were going to use it permanently everyday for decades, it might be worth investing in a regular stationary bike with a few more features, but this device is definitely the way to go for temporary use! I will say that the assembly instructions are fairly vague with VERY small pictures, so you may need someone with lots of general assembly experience to help with assembly.

Seen a lot of 'this is so noisy when I put my mountain bike on it'. Unless you are using something other than ABSOLUTELY SLICK tires, of COURSE it's going to make noise! That's not the fault of the trainer - there's no escaping bumps hitting something fast from making noise - DUH! This is absurdly easy to assembly - literally ONE BOLT and ONE NUT - then the adjuster screw. You really don't need the instructions, but I used them to double check it was the right way around, and they were good enough for that. Yes, resistance is a little on the low end, but that also forces you to use higher gears which because I live in the hills, I rarely use. So it was nice to use the biggest chain ring up front and even out the wear a bit. This means more cycles for the chain - but also way less tension. It couldn't mimic 1st-gear, 30-degree on-the-limit climbs, but it could definitely manage mimicking steep uphills, especially if you used higher gears. The issue I've had with super-high resistance trainers in the past is even with massive flywheels, because you're really not spinning it that fast, they are fairly jerky. This is much smoother, and my knees hurt a lot less than riding on the street/using a super high resistance trainer. For the money, can't be beat. We'll see how it holds up after 6 months of use, but right now, very happy with it.

I’m pretty happy with this purchase. The build quality is solid for the price. All components are well machined with no manufactory defect. Setting up took about 15 mins including unboxing. One thing to note is that you have to replace your rear axle rod with the one provided in order to connect with the stand. The geometry of the stand is very stable especially when pairing with the included front wheel chock. One thing I like the most is the ability to adjust the resistance level on the fly. The cable operated adjuster offers 8 increments to chose from and each click is precious with no sloppy indention. However the cable is bit long for my bike, but I used zip tie to guide it along the frame. Another cool feature is the height adjustment leg covers which offer you 5 different level of heights to give you a more tailored riding positions. The roller noise level is acceptable, but I do wear my headphone if I intend to exercise longer period of time. Overall I really enjoyed it and put it in-front of you TV or computer to watch a cycle training video will definite enhance your in door riding experience to beat the COVID.

The stand itself seems to bed fairy stable & easy to use. The stand raises the bike up enough that being 5'3" in have to use a stool to get on the bike. The instruction on assembling it are virtually worthless. They are unclear & if had to use a magnifying glass to be able to see the pictures to try & figure it out. I also had to google the assmemly to finish it.
