I'm using this on a fat tire bike for causal offroad riding. I've a very stiff neck, and this stem got my bar up and back enough for a much more relaxed position. It appears to be very sturdy (kind of heavy too I suppose). I had no problems mounting it. I very happy with this item.

Due to a wrist injury, I could no longer tolerate the straight-forward 105mm bar riser on my mtn bike. This looked like a potential solution, so I ordered it. I didn't know what to expect, but it is a VERY sturdy, nicely-adjustable (with serrated engagement to prevent slippage or movement of your setting), good-looking part. It absolutely does the job and has no flex that I can notice. I have it set on the tallest possible orientation and it makes a world of difference. Installs in minutes. It's heavier than a hollow piece of aluminum, but is a huge bargain for this price. You will not be disappointed. Got this for my Lectric X 2, to move the handle bars up and back a little bit. It was relatively easy to install with one problem. It needs a spacer for the stock handle bars to work. They did not include a spacer/adapter. I made one out of PVC pipe I found in my junk pile and it works no problem. It was my oversight. There are units with the adapter included out there. Overall a really nice upgrade I wish I had done sooner. Solves the handle bar problem with my Lectric X2. ... show more

This stem riser was the perfect purchase. I had researched It before. I should have bought this 1 for myself but passed on it. My Wife just recently gotten her mountain bike, and even though her bike is a Small size she said that she was still uncomfortable riding her bike and the way her factory stem made her lean forward was uncomfortable, so in comes this thing. Now my Wife rides comfortably and doesn't have to worry about having back issues from leaning forward any more. Another thing too about this stem is, believe it or not it gives her bike a more aggressive stance making her cute little bike looking like it's ready to tear up the trail. This is the 2nd one I purchased, both for eBikes. This one is shorter than my last one, but the same high quality and fit. I took the bike in the Sierras on several fire roads and really road it hard, not problems at all. My bike has dual 1000K motors and fat tires, so it's a beast.
