I do not accept free things to write reviews. All the products I review are bought by me for my use and I share my real work experiences. Simply put, these work just like they say. The one thing that keeps these from being 5 stars is the sewn border that is pretty thick on the thumbhole part. If you wear gloves then anything you hold puts a lot of pressure on your palm. This is also true when not wearing gloves it just not as pronounced. If the seam on the palm facing part was just the same thickness as the arm guard that would work so much better. All in all though, these do work, they provide good coverage for the forearm and elbow and are tight enough to wear in and be comfortable. A better seam (thinner) at the thumbhole and they'd easily be 5 stars.

Outstanding product. Saved my old arms from many cuts and scratches from plants. Every time I cleaned my yard last year, I use to look like a cat clawed me but not now. Highly recommend and I have already told friends about them. Thank you for a great product.

They feel very nice and fit will for a good size male arm. But I got them primarily for protection and realize now with greater research that there is a rating system for how resistant they are to slashing/cutting, like from knives. So if one is getting them for serious security work where people might have knives, or for real kitchen work with a lot of fast and potentially dangerous cutting, not sure these will do the trick. The company needs to list the cut rating on the ANSI scale of 1-9 so we can judge and show that it's passed that test. Without that rating, I can't in confidence give it more than a 3-star rating, even though it could turn out to be 5-star. But don't want to find out ther hard way. Simply put: is this really just for gardening? Thanks!

As a resident of the grate (intentional spelling) state of Florida, when I'm not being amused by the latest shenanigans of "Florida Man...", I have work to be done around my humble gator, snake, and spider surrounded abode, while trying my best not to be in the headlines as the latest "Florida Man..." story. I have a few stray shrubs that have turned into almost trees in my backyard that required the chainsaw to cut down (don't judge me, its hot down here). At any rate, I bought these sleeves because the last time I tried to cut down some foliage something crawled onto my arm that made me say and almost "do" (pun intended) an expletive on myself. While these do not claim to be bite resistant, potential scrapes from errant branches and sharp tools are a potential. These sleeves allow me to get the work done with less concern for anything more than felling the small trees in the correct direction (nope, no home damage this time), and allowed me to use my hands (gloved of course) to gather and transport the trunk and branches with no damage to my arms. The sleeves worked well, were easy to wear, no stress to my arms, and did not make me feel overheated. After the job was completed, I didn't see any cuts or damage to the sleeves so I'm actually looking forward to my next potentially dangerous back yard tasks. I'm confident these sleeves helped save me a bunch of time (and worry from my wife). I'm very glad of this purchase and may buy another pair as a back up or if my next project requires another set of hands, they can be "sleeved" as well. I give this product, five stars, two thumbs up, and the official Florida Man's seal of approval.
