    • Nice but hard to hang
While these were easy to paint and look like real wood, they were a total pain to install. The directions didn’t really work well because I had to work with the existing holes in the brick wall. Also they come with plastic rivet things that were poorly cut so that made it really hard to install. Overall worth the money and they look great, but you need some serious patience to hang them on brick. ... show more

    • Less substantial than anticipated.
These shutters are relatively thin and are less substantial than I would have thought. They are not one piece. The side rails are stapled to the middle section. Also, the shutters are not pre-drilled. I ordered the paintable shutters. These were a white raw plastic shutter with no primer. This is not an issue however, if you use dark paint as I did, two coats will likely be necessary. The price of these units and also flexibility with size are certainly a selling point. Would highly recommend these shutters. They were light weight and so easy to work with. The shutters made a big difference in the curb appeal of my house. Neighbors have stopped by to compliment on how much the shutters have improved the looks of the house. Delivery was faster then predicted by 2 weeks. Great product.     • Fasteners for the shutters are worthless!
These are lightweight, cheap plastic replacements. They arrived sooner than expected, well-packed. I had to drill my own holes and, since the borders are narrow, in some places the holes went through very thin plastic. But the worst part was the cheapo plastic fasteners, which are basically no more than fat black bushings. They bent, broke, and stuck in my brick walls. No rigidity at all. I was not able to use even one of them in mounting my four shutters. Used the old screws instead. So... beware! ... show more
