**UPDATE**: I originally bought these for my son and got the ones that had the colored lids and straws so he could tell which one was his when he had friends over. I decided to buy more, but decided to save a little money and just get the clear ones. BIG MISTAKE!!! The lids for the clear ones do not fit the cups for the colored ones. So we cannot mix and match. The rubber rings that are in the lids also fall out constantly and end up in the bottom of the dishwasher or on the floor as we are getting the lids out to put on the cup. They also seem to break easier as we have had 4 of them crack around the rim already. One broke on the bottom and water got all inside of it. Very disappointed that I spent this much money for something completely different than the original ones I bought. Needless to say, I am never buying this brand again. I really liked these cups at first. But as time has gone on and they have been used and washed in the dishwasher, I am not liking them as much. The lids and straws hold up really well. The cups themselves, on the other hand, not so much. I have already had to throw away 3 of these cups because the outer part of the cup breaks and allows water to go inside. So the water leaks in between the 2 layers and then you can't use them. If you did, the water would leak out as you had it sitting out wherever. I liked them at first, but not enough to be throwing them away. Especially for the short time I have had them and the amount I paid for them.

Initially we loved the product. Great option for large groups to eat have a "color" and worked well but if you squeeze too tightly at the top or drop a cup on the floor, it cracks and is unusable. Bit more fragile than we would've liked and for our lake house purpose. It's been a month and we are down to 8 cups bc the tops cracked. Maybe a few uses with each cup was all we got.

5/14/2015 Edit I bought these cups in November 2014 and we have used three a day between then and this writing. As of today, we have 6 of the original 12 cups surviving after an average of 40 uses each and 40 dishwasher cycles on the top rack. We lost one because someone put it on the bottom rack. It warped into a blob. The other five shared a common failure mode. The adhesive or bond holding the inner and outer acrylic layers of the air insulated cup released making the two pieces unusable or at best very awkward to use. We are losing about one a week now. I came back to see if buying more would be worth it. But at $40 it seems to not be a good use of money for our family. We just use them too much. At the rate we use and wash them we would spend about $80 a year on these tumblers. We could change our pattern and hand wash but that is not practical for our busy lives. No, this time I am going to spend a 3-4 x more per cup and get high quality like Tervis or similar. I expect the higher quality cups will last several years so they will be less expensive in the long run. I figure if the more expensive cups last a year and a half, we will break even. I have read positive reviews that they last years longer. And with more expensive cups I believe I won't have the annoyance of the seals falling out so easily. We use three cups a day and have to place the seal back in one of those three on an average day. While not right for us, I do think these cups would be fine for occasional use for family gatherings and parties. And that is what I think they are intended for. 40 dishwasher cycle might mean years of life to some. The lids did save us from many potential furniture / carpet staining kid spills during our 6 months of us and I am grateful for that. The lids can be tricky to not cross thread but with touch you can get it right and they stay on completely and securely. ORIGINAL REVIEW You get what you pay for I guess. I tried to save money buying these spill-less cups (not spill proof, the straw hole will always leak if tested of course) for my 3 kids instead of similar cups at box stores that cost about twice as much each. These get the job done but do not seem up to regular use. The seals that keeps the top from leaking fall out in the dishwasher top rack and sometimes gravity takes over when putting the top on the cup and they just drop out. Putting the seals back in correctly takes some accuracy and time or they will leak where the lid meets the cup. About 10 seconds to do right once you have the hang of it. Not a problem if you expect it when you buy it but gets annoying when you didn't expect it and ar doing it a couple of time a week consistently (at least annoying to me). I have also tried being extremely precise in putting them back in hoping there is a groove or something that might hold the seal in better but I don't think there is such a mechanism in the lid. The seals are just lightly connected.

Ordered these for our babies 1st bday. Great quality for the price! Turned 24 into snowglobe tumblers with 0 leaks. Perfect size for the kids. No imperfections EXCEPT that we didn't notice we were missing 12 straws. I've tried to reach out. But with our time crunch I have to order them separately due to no other form of contact. Definitely would be 5 stars if it wasn't for missing items.
