  • Intelligent Energy-Saving: When our pipe heating cable detects that the water temperature is below 41F (5C) , the heating system starts to work and stops when the water temperature reaches 59F (15C), so that you can avoid high electricity bills due to long continuous heating
  • Safety Guaranteed: Operation with 120V and an external ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) power outlet prevents overheating problems due to short circuits, and built-in wires are completely wrapped to avoid our pipe heat cables malfunction due to water seepage

  • Works great
Model: 6FT
Here in south Georgia we don't have a lot of below freezing weather but when it was coming I would go and cover up the well and plug in a trouble light to have some heat so it wouldn't freeze. What bunch of screwing around. Purchased the heat tape, installed it. Which was a snap. Works great, no worries of pipes freezing. Should of didcthis years ago. Daaa. ... show more

  • Seems to work. Short cord and very stiff to wrap.
Model: 9FT
Bought this to temporarily protect an indoor pipe to an outdoor spigot with a broken shutoff valve until I get the valve fixed. It seems to work to heat the pipe. Temp is 0F right now. The temp of the pipe right inside the wall dropped into the 30s then got heated up to ~65F. I believe the temp of the heat cable was around 90F during the heating. My first complaint is that the cord is short, so if you don’t happen to have an outlet right next to it, you need to have one put in. Second problem is that the heating portion is very stiff and hard to wrap around a narrow pipe. I managed it, but it was very tricky working over my head in a tight space to get everything taped on while it was tight around the pipe. Might web easier if you do a straight line under the pipe. The thermostat is on the plug side of the heating part of the cable, which might be useful to know in your planning. ... show more

  • So far so good!
Model: 9FT
I’ve wrapped an outside frost free faucet that always freezes up, and so far it’s worked great even into the low teens

  • Amazon Had Them in Stock
Model: 3FT
When the weather gets cold the big box stores run out. Rather than drive all over town, delivered to my door. Work great.

  • Works but way too rigid
Model: 3FT
I wouldn’t buy this again. If I hadn’t thrown out the box I’d return. It’s extremely difficult to shape to your pipe. You’ll need heavy duty zip ties. Buy the easy heat brand instead. I skipped it because of delivery time and regret it.

  • Thirsty Birdies
Model: 12FT
It’s 0°F (feels like -8°) and the bird bath is glistening with fresh water for the neighborhood cardinals (birds, not Catholics).
