Features

  • PROFESSIONAL MULTI-FUNCTION TOOL: Make sure your billiards cue is ready with this 3-in-1 Cuetec Bowtie Tool! These pool table accessories shape, scuff and poke the tip of your pool cue, allowing it to hold chalk better and help prevent miscues.
  • PERFECT CUE TIP: Use the Shaper tool of this pool accessory to find a comfortable dome contour. Lightly scrape the tip of your pool cue using a rotating motion, making sure to work these pool cue accessories the entire way around the tip.
  • HOLD CHALK BETTER: This bowtie multifunction tool includes a Cue Tip Scuffer, which will gently roughen your cue tip so it holds chalk better. Scrape the surface using a rotating or back and forth motion on new sticks or well-used, compressed tips.
  • HIGH-QUALITY AERATOR TOOL: Our billiards accessories tools have an Aerator tool that will gently pierce cue tips with small pinholes, allowing them to hold more chalk. Unscrew the bowtie in half and carefully roll the aerator over the tip.
  • BE READY ANYWHERE: These billiards cue accessories are small and convenient, so you can bring them with whether you play recreationally or participate in professional tournaments. Our portable tools make ideal pool player gifts for men and women.

Description

Cuetec Cues burst onto the scene in 1989 as a new concept in billiard cues. The basic premise being a cue, using a patented process, with a Grade A Plus North American Maple shaft coated with a thin layer of fiberglass or graphite that stayed straight despite all adverse conditions, was extremely damage resistant against the rigors of all types of play, was easy to maintain, and most importantly offered true professional quality and playability at prices just about anyone could afford.

    • Bought this, and my life literally changed.
Color: Silver - Old
So I shoot pool, otherwise, why in the world would I buy this. That's not a question. I know it sounds like one, it's rhetorical. So when I got it, I went to shoot pool with my new Cuetec cues, it was time to get some new ones anyhow. The day I got it: I shot the best game of pool in my life. In-fact, I ran 7 tables in a row not missing a shot. I bought a new car and got a killer deal on it out of nowhere. I had the best burger I've ever had in my life. I drank 9 glasses of fine beer and didn't even get drunk. I met a beautiful & sweet girl. And had I played the lotto, I'm certain that I'd have won. Now, I never said this product had ANYTHING to do with it, I just stated that the day I got it my life changed. You be the determinant of whether or not it had anything to do with this Cuetec cue shaper. But I'll tell you this one thing for certain. The Cuetec cue shaper just WORKS and it works WELL. Better than any other ones I've previously had, and easier too, AND it has more capabilities all wrapped up into a nice, neat, retro looking design. And it's SOLID, most definitely NOT a cheaply-made product at all. BUY THIS, perhaps your life will change, too. :-) ... show more

    • Fantastic and truly helpful little gadget all players should own!
There's no need to make this a long, drawn out review in my opinion. So, straight to the point, this item is truly one of the most absolutely perfect accessories for any truly determined pool player to own. In my honest opinion, no player out there in the world should be without one of these fantastic little gadgets stuffed away in your cue case somewhere. It does basically everything you could ever need really for maintaining the integrity of your cue tip, without having to pay for a professional to recondition it each time around. I have owned 3 of these over the course of MANY years, and still to this day use mine at least once a week, EVERY week, on average. Hence, you cannot possibly go wrong in purchasing one of these items, and I have complete confidence in the fact that you will be pleasantly surprised just how often you end up finding yourself using it. :) ... show more

    • Awesome Tool
I play pool rather frequently and was introduced to this tool by a friend of my, a fellow pool player. I have never been dissapointed with it! I have seen many other tip tools around the pool hall and this is the best quality one I have seen. The fact that it is metal and has a wonderful compact design puts it way above the junky plastic ones with silly sand paper inserts. It is worth your money! I have had it for years and it has never worn out. It works like the first day I got it. I have also gotten one for my boyfriend and he has nothing but positives to say as well. ... show more

    • Beats a piece of sandpaper ;)
Ever have the head of your well-used-taken off-the-wall-rack pool cue ricochette off the que ball at your favorite pay-to-play table as you tried for a good break? And with the whole saloon (ok,barroom) watching?? Unless the owner is a pool afficienado him/her self, cues, and in particular the tips, receive zero maintenance. The owner just wants the revenue.... Enter the Cuetec Bowtie Tool... Nice, solid, shiney, and weighty, aluminum, a couple of turns of the 'Shaper' end will perform a reverse valve job on the tip. Add a few turns of the 'Scruff' end and chalk sticks like a guy to his new love at closing time. And each end is engraved labeled so you know which is which even seen through those beer goggles... An occasional player and not owning a custom cue myself, I really have carried a small piece of course-grit sandpaper on those occasions when I know I will be playing.... No more. My game has improved; fewer snickers from the Peanut Gallery. So, bottom line I would recommend the Cuetec; works as advertised, operates with precision, and, well, just looks too kewl :) It really rates five (5) full stars were it somehow smaller; belongs in a pool case and not the pocket of your leathers or jeans - yet it would lose its' functionality. Also, don't loan it out --- you might not get it back!! ... show more

    • Must buy for english
To play pool these are absolutely essential. I had an old one that is no longer made that worked well but this one works great. Why do you need to shape a cue tip? In order to apply english the tip must have the proper shape. If the tip is flat (which most tips are) then the cue pushes the ball rather then striking it. I tried drawing a ball back before shaping and it barely moved, after shaping it came back half the table. I am no pool expert but have enjoyed the game since I was a kid and highly recommend this for anyone who is having trouble with spin. ... show more
