I am truly impressed with this very affordable cue! First, it actually looks pretty good in person (see it next to my primary player which costs 10 times the price) and it plays very well. Not quite as solid in sound & feel as my primary, but it's not cheap or gross either. My shot-making is roughly the same with either cue, as well. I have played with cues costing more than this that did not feel nor play as good as this one. The synthetic wrap here feels just the right amount of pliable and grippy. Almost better than the genuine shark skin wrap on my main cue. Highly recommended for a first cue or, in my case, to keep in the car for random games when my main cue might be home. As good as it plays, however, I probably won't just leave it in the car.

Construction quality is reliable with a smooth shaft and sturdy joint. Handling feels balanced and comfortable during play. The carbon fiber, it is lightweight, and the surface looks sleek and modern compared to traditional wood options. Provides good value since it performs predictably without a high entry cost. Simple design makes it easy to use immediately without adjustment.

Awesome cue

This is my second carbon-fiber pool cue, and I wish I could tell you it made me into Minnesota Fats. Nope, I'm still a duffer (can that word apply to pool?). But I love it anyway! First of all, it feels so good slipping through your fingers. Most of my other cues are wood, and even with powder and dry hands, they still bind a little with my fingers. The carbon fiber is naturally "slick" and it feels 1000% better than my wood cues. Also, there's the cool factor... I don't let my friends use my "precious" carbon fiber cue, so they can imagine they are at a disadvantage... until they see me play, of course. In the right hands, I'm sure this cue will be a winner... it looks high quality, and it feels like it will last forever (and stay straight). Definitely recommend even if you're not Mr. Fats.

The CUEBOTS Z Wave is an interesting option for beginners and recreational players looking to move beyond a traditional wooden cue. Both the shaft and butt are described as using a multi-layer carbon fiber construction, giving the cue greater resistance to changes in humidity and temperature while providing the consistent feel associated with carbon cues. The 29-inch low-deflection shaft is one of the main attractions. It's designed to reduce cue-ball deflection when using English, which can make aiming and position play more predictable once a player becomes accustomed to the shaft. The 12.5mm hybrid pro taper also provides a relatively familiar diameter while allowing for a smooth stroke. Other thoughtful details include a seven-layer microfiber tip and synthetic leather wrap for additional grip and control. The overall setup is aimed at being forgiving enough for newer players while still offering features that can remain useful as their game improves. Overall, this looks like a solid first carbon fiber cue for someone who wants low-deflection performance without immediately jumping into the much higher price range of premium professional cues. It's particularly appealing as an upgrade for a developing player who wants a more consistent and durable setup for regular play.

Very displeased with shaft and tip not the control tip as advertised. Tip extremely hard and not seven layers.

This is a very nice first carbon fiber cue, especially for someone moving up from a basic beginner cue. It feels balanced and easy to control, and the low deflection shaft makes aiming and getting consistent shots noticeably easier. The hybrid pro taper feels comfortable in the hand and gives a smooth stroke. The 7 layer tip also has a good feel and provides nice control when adding spin. Construction feels solid without making the cue feel overly heavy or difficult to handle. A good combination of beginner friendly control and features you can continue to appreciate as your game improves.
