I wore today in -6 degree weather and I was toasty warm! Much better than the long John’s I bought these to replace! They are thick but not bulky. The material is soft and stretchy but breathable. I wore the set comfortably under fitted jeans and a sweater. I LOVE how the top has thumb holes! I had order two sets, a size small and medium since I am sometimes between sizes, at 5 ft, 125lbs, size 4/5 pants. Sometimes size small tops run tight as I wear a 36DDD bra, so I wasn’t sure if the small would be too tight. I wore the small set today, and it was snug, but not tight. It was just right, and incredibly comfortable. I was outside for about 2 hours and didn’t get cold at all! I was also pleased there was no funny smell, last time I bought a long john set it had a chemical smell when I opened the package. These just smelled as they should, like nothing at all. Super comfy, very soft and stretchy. They kept me warm while moving around but I took a star off because I got cold while standing still. I was in 45° windy weather. I mainly got these to keep me warm while I slept on a backpacking trip. I think they did ok but I don’t think I’d buy them again for backpacking purposes. These are my favorite winter pajamas. They're warm and comfortable enough to sleep in. I tend to fit better in tall/long sizes but these were adequate--the legs end up coming up a bit through the night but that's the norm, unfortunately, for pajama pants these days.
