  • Simple and Effective.
This trellis is simple to assemble, and once each section is locked into place, it seems pretty stable. It beats the heck out of sticks in the ground or the usual wire-racks from the big box stores. It comes with everything you need to complete a nice-looking appearance. It’s rust proof and seems as though it is reuseable for many years. Overall – A useful product for any raised-bed garden at a reasonable price. ... show more

  • A good idea, but needs tweaking
I figure this trellis will help keep my vining vegetables up off the ground - away from the bugs. When I first opened the box, and saw all the parts, I was almost over whelmed. Determined - I set out putting this trellis together. It was much simpler to assemble than I initially thought. By looking at the picture &b using some common sense, it took a little over 30 minutes to set the frame up. Then, as I was putting the netting over it, the poles at some of the joints would pop out of the joiners with very little movement of the frame. I had to lift the frame up out of the soil, and try to get the poles even on each side. Two or three tries, and I got the frame to stay together. The netting fits the frame - and then some. There's about 10 inches extra when you get the netting lined up, but you can just cut the excess off. Hint - do not put the netting over the frame until you have planted your seeds. I ask myself 3 questions when I purchase an item. # Does it do the job I intended for it? # Does the cost reflect the items quality? # would I tell others about the item? My answers are # yes I believe it will do the job, # the cost is a few bucks too high for what you get in my opinion, and # Yes, I would let anybody inquiring that this trellis does work and it would be a reasonable purchase. ... show more

  • All plastic. Thought it was metal.
It little flimsy

  • Works well, assembly a little tricky.
Assembly wasn’t hard, although it takes some force to push the joint pieces all the way together. And it takes a lot of hand strength to use the metal connector pieces. (For reference, I’m a pretty strong 35M and it wasn’t easy for me.) I recommend only hooking one side of the connector pieces until you get everything aligned and then going back and doing the other side on all of them. Once done, they’re very secure. The netting was a bit of a pain, but I don’t know if there’s any avoiding it. Overall would recommend. ... show more

  • Seems like it will be a good product
This product comes with all the needed pieces and the assembly directions seem to be clearly written (with photos). The netting seems a little thin so I question the ability to reuse for multiple seasons; the stakes seem quite sturdy and don’t feel like they will easily bend. I haven’t actually assembled it yet since we are just starting to come into our growing season. The pieces appear to easily connect but I think if you need to take it back apart it may be difficult. The connectors fit very tightly so you may need to store it assembled at the end of season; this tight fit will also ensure that the pieces don’t come apart. The price is a little high for the size of the trellis but the shape is unusual and may be exactly what a small gardener would need. Once I have this assembled and in use I will update this review as to how easy it actually was to get plants supported. ... show more

  • Decent value
This is an interesting idea that I am going to try out for my cucumbers that just sprouted. I have limited space in our raised beds so having this cucumber "tent" will be super cool. I've successfully used a couple of bamboo sticks and garden twine as an A-frame for the vines to climb on so there shouldn't be any reason it won't work. All of that said, you have to be careful with the connectors or they will snap. This brings me to my biggest concern which is UV exposure and durability. At this price point, you should get at least two seasons out of this trellis but I don't think it will last that long. Either the plastic or netting or both will wear out. I also have an extreme dislike for photoshopping and it is clear that is absolutely the case here. I don't think I've seen such a bad representation of a product. There would be so much more credibility if actual cucumbers were growing in the photos. For all of these reasons I really cannot give more than 3 out of 5 stars as this could end up being pricey for just one season of cucumbers. ... show more

  • Takes some assembly.
This trellis took me approximately two hours to assemble. It is best to lay everything out on a flat surface how each arch goes together before assembly. I found out that the connecting collars are hard to remove once installed. If you put the connecting collars in a bucket of hot water, the rods or stakes will slide in much easier. The To connect the horizontal rods to the arches, the metal buckles used are really stiff and will take considerable thumb or hand work to fasten to the arch members. That being said, the completed trellis will be very sturdy when set into the ground. At this point, I think we will be happy with the trellis. ... show more

  • Top snapped in two
These trellises seemed sturdy enough until the top arch snapped into two pieces. There's no way I'm disassembling the entire thing to return it so I guess I'll eat $40 and duct tape the stupid thing together and try to use it still.
