I got this desk to replace an older one that was basically falling apart. I needed something sturdy and something that I felt would last for years. This one fit both of my requirements. It was not difficult to assemble and the instructions were clear in the manual. You can build in 2 different ways, which is great. It took me about an hour to get it assembled. Once it was built and I had everything on it, it feels very sturdy of good quality. The look is great. I love the wood and metal look as it fits my space nicely. The desk is on the smaller side but I was able to get 2 screens on it as well as a my laptop and various other desktop things. The storage shelves are a nice bonus. Overall, this desk was a great value for the money and I'm very happy with it.

I did really good once received this desk, and put it together all by myself. The instructions were easy. The instructions even showed you what not do, so you don't end up having to unscrew pieces and rescrew the right way. I chose the black desk. I like the fact too, this desk can be put together with 2 options. I chose option 2, for where I wanted to position the desk in the room. It didn't take a lot of work. The desk came with all materials, and tools you need to put it together, except for 2 small screws that needed a small 4head screwdriver to lock the outlet down to the desk. There are extra screws in each package of screws. The desk wasn't big, and bulky, or awkward to place in the room. The computer table part can be mounted inside or on the outer side of the desk. I instsalled mine inward to save space. I like the outlet part cause you can plug your other equipment along with 2 usb ports and actually hide them behind the computer. This way they are not all hanging down under the desk or in the way. I think this would be a good buy, and it is a very good functional desk to have.

I am in a temporary housing situation where I am in a smaller space and can't have my regular desk and furniture, and I needed a smaller desk to use as my workstation while I'm there. This desk is absolutely perfect for my needs, and there's plenty of space for my work laptop, a small monitor stand, my keyboard, and a mousepad. I also like the additional shelves where I can place my books and some of my office supplies. The instructions were a little annoying to follow and the quality of some of the materials are not quite up to par, but this desk is definitely a great value for this price range. It would be great for a kid's room, dorm room, small office space, or even used as an art studio desk or makeup vanity. I don't think the shelves would hold up the weight of many gaming setups, so I don't think it would be good for that, but if you work (or game) primarily off of a laptop or if you have more of a standard tower/monitor setup, then it will work for you. The overall desk (and shipping box) is pretty heavy, but I wouldn't trust the individual shelves to hold a large amount of weight.
