I love this desk. I’ve been using it for about 3 months. It adequately fits my dual monitor setup with plenty of room for my keyboard, mouse, coffee and iPad propped up. My job does not require the use of any paper so if you require files or writing space this probably will not work for you. I really like the shelves on the side. I have a combo of bins and books on bottom, and I really love how I can have my lamp and plant out of the way up top. I opted to have the shelves on my right even though I’m right handed because of the location in the room. If I had put on left it would’ve obstructed my view outside. Very sturdy even on carpet. I love the tabletop. My first con (that I really found to be an issue with all desks) is the height. I’m 5’1” and it’s a tiny bit tall for me ergonomically speaking. I probably need a foot rest because my feet do not sit flat when I raise up my seat. 2nd con is putting it together. The directions are not difficult and I’ve turned tons of Allen wrenches - but one particular type of bolt x 18 of them were so hard to turn - every single rotation was hard on the hand. If you have a handyman nearby that can put power behind your Allen wrench you will be golden. Otherwise get some water and prepare for extra time. Overall this is a great value for the price. I am not a fan of this desk, and I'm sad it took about halfway through the assembly to find out. This desk is a literal PAIN to assemble. My fingers are shot from the allen wrench, which wore out just about halfway through assembly and there was no extra so I had to push super hard to get the screws in. Three of my screws wore down as well - only 1 extra. There is one 1 extra part for about half of the assembly items. Even a few extra screws could have made this better. The desk itself came with a manufacturing error. There are stabilizers that screw into the bottom of all the pieces of metal and they forgot to thread one of them, so without an entirely separate drill, my entire desk would have been uneven (Amazon told me to just repackage it and take it back since they couldn't fix it but it came flat and in tiny pieces and I would need to put everything back in the box to send back). There is also backing on the shelves to keep your stuff from rolling off, but the holes for the screws didn't line up on either of those pieces, so it was much harder to assemble than it should have been. I had to constantly flip it around and on its side to apply the correct amount of pressure to keep the pieces where they needed to be. The directions also do not tell you which way to have the holes in the desk if you want the shelf on the left or the right. If you do it wrong, I guarantee it won't be worth it to take apart and put back together. Overall the desk is a great color, but doesn't feel stable even on hardwood floors. It wobbles when I type - my kitchen table was smaller and is more sturdier. I thought the shelves would be awesome, but the one that sits above the desk is really the only one of a full/good use. They're just a meh addition. I'm debating on taking this one apart and returning due to the sturdiness factor (need to support three screens) and the overall look of the desk. The concept of the desk is a good one. The price is fair. The assembly could not be done... I’ve built a lot of furniture in my life... and while all the parts were there, and the instructions were clear as a bell, the materials just don’t work. The desk surface and shelves are particle board, and the screws are so large that the board integrity is compromised. Additionally, if you sneeze near them, the screws will strip. The kit provides a small Allen wrench , and there is no reason that a good drill with an Allen bit on slow and controlled movement should be able to spare your joints ( and the arthritis in my hands ) l, but the hardware was not strong enough. My husband and I have arranged a return through Amazon and gone to IKEA because the quality and performance is exceedingly higher for the exact same cost. I won’t tell you what to do, but I will suggest you think about hat you have purchased before and keep that in the equation. ... show more

I have put together more "furniture in a box" items that I can count. This was by far one of the easiest and best. Here's why. They have a video link right on the Amazon site. The parts and hardware are clearly marked, They include an "extra" of most pieces of hardware. The photos are easy to interpret and the directions are not in teeny tiny print. The desk is very utilitarian and low profile, it blends with the space it fits in my office (AKA my bedroom). I believe it comes in several lengths, but the 47" was perfect in front of my window space. The color matches my hardwood floors perfectly. Very pleased, highly recommend! ... show more

I had bought three of this type of tables. This is my favorite one of them all. The design and the color are beautiful. It is very sturdy. It is made with great material, very solid. This table could be placed anywhere you prefer. Don’t forget get help forum a friend while installing. One need to hold the board while one fastening all of the screws. And don’t worry, It comes with extra parts if you need it. Tips, fastening the four corners first before screwing the middle piece because it might not match. ... show more
