The leg clearance underneath is roomy and the material feels extremely sturdy. This isn't like one of those plywood desks you'd pick up at Target. This has some substance to it. You can put it together as one person if you're careful but you'd have an easier time if you had a second person. I purchased the 40” model of this desk as a way to cheaply declutter the office. So far, this desk has met and exceeded all expectations I’ve had for it, ESPECIALLY at the price point. Not only is the build quality pretty solid, it’s parts came individually wrapped to avoid scratches. Now for the small things: -The instructions for assembly were pretty unclear as to the direction some pieces must face. Just go slow and use common sense and you should be fine. -The included Allen key they provide you does have quite a long neck. This is great most of the time, except for the would-be strongmen that try to overtorque the screws. It is still only aluminum, you WILL punch a hole through the metal if you tighten too much. Other than that, this desk is great. The smaller version which at the time was ~$30 cheaper is able to hold an Ender 3 pro with mods that make it chunkier, as well as a printer. I would definitely recommend for households looking for a cheaper alternative to a $200+ office cabinet, or a student looking to have a compact desk in a dorm. ... show more

Assembling: Putting the desk together was a bit tedious. It's doable with only one person but is a lot whole easier with two people. I did it all by myself, though I struggled until I was able to get someone to hold certain parts together while I screwed them on. Looks: It's really sleek and modern looking! You can switch the side on where you put the shelf (just make sure to look closely at the instructions so you don't have to end up disassembling again like I did). It fits a lot of things and is quite big! I'm 5'6" and the height is great for me. Use: I use it for everyday school work and normal work. I'm a graphic designer so I often have a lot of tech on my desk ((I usually put it on the shelf)). On my desk I was able to fit my laptop (with a stand) my keyboard, a mic, and my tablet. Though I'm also planning to add a monito later on. ... show more

I love this desk! I just started a work from home job & got the vittsjo laptop table from ikea, this one is A LOT better! & easy to assemble as well! The ONLY problem was the little twist on leg things, one of them didn’t twist on so I had to remove them. I just used furniture movers that stick on to avoid scratching the floor. The desk arrived with a corner of it already scratched. It should have been easy to put together. However, the instructions were not well done (neither is the video). We spent 15 mins going over the pieces to make sure we understood how it went together. Unfortunately, one of the tall pieces needed to be the other way in order to attach the brace. So, we had to take one side apart and do it again. The drawings do not give enough details as to which side should be up/down/left/right. That would be such an easy thing to add, that would cost nothing. The desk looked exactly like the picture (except mine had the scuffed area). A piece of plexiglass cut to fit would help keep it nice looking. It's very lightweight. It's adequate as a low end desk. ... show more

This desk is great, looks good, perfect size, but this is very important. Pay attention to which way the parts are facing. You must look closely at the pictures, because they're are no words. There are subtle differences in the pieces, as to which way the holes are facing and line up. If you do this assembly is very easy but will require a second set of hands for a few pieces (I used my 8 yo son for this, just to hold things while I screwed it into place).
