I got this with low expectations but high hopes. My wife has recently had rotator cuff and bicep surgery and when we first got this device I had a quite painful groin muscle pull/strain (self-diagnosed) that was impairing my ability to walk normally. For the groin pull the pain had been pretty constant for almost a week before this belt arrived. I immediately started using it on that area for 30 minutes/day and within just a couple of days there was a noticeable decrease in the amount of pain with complete elimination of the pain in about 5-6 days. Was it the light therapy? I'm not sure but it certainly didn't make things worse. I also noticed that there seemed to be a positive effect on the varicose veins (I'm just starting to get them so they're barely noticeable) in that leg where previously both legs were about the same. Again, was it the light therapy? In this case I can't think of any other change that would have caused the improvement other than the light therapy treatment. This being the case, I've just started treating the other leg and if that improves I won't be able to attribute the improvement to anything else but the light therapy. For my wife's surgery recovery (the surgery was actually several months ago but the pain, while decreasing has been noticeable as she goes through conventional therapy) she indicates that she does seem to feel less pain after using the light therapy in the area. She has also used it several times on her back and again, says that it seems like there is less pain after use. So for us, there do seem to be some positive effects, even if anecdotal at this point. If the belt were taken away from us would we replace it? I would say yes right now, it would be a buy. ... show more

    • red light works well for me
I will say, red and near infrared lights are not meant to act like a heating pad, sometimes they do warm the skin a little but they're NOT intended to produce heat - if you want heat, you'll want far infrared instead. I use red light therapy most days and it has helped my wrist go from in pain and couldn't do much of anything, to hardly any pain at all and as long as I remember to treat it at least a few days a week, the pain doesn't come back. So, this device has worked fine for me. I ordered it when it was at $130 and it's currently around $60, which is a much better price for the quality. I don't have much to complain about, it's just not my favorite belt-type red light device to use (and I've tested over 60 different red light devices!). Typically my favorite to use is a panel, but a belt similar to this really helped me reduce back pain while I was moving (driving back and forth between apartments because I have a small car, I would plug it in to the car and use it while driving immediately after carrying heavy stuff and it really helped).     • Worked Wonders for my husband!
This belt has come in so handy for my husband, he is doing great! I am so glad that I found this and snatched it up, because it has been a life saver. His hips are constantly in pain, his lower back is suffering, and we have not had the money to go to the chiropractor recently. He has been doing this therapy light for at least 1-2 times per day for 15-20 minutes. It warms up quickly, and he said it is not uncomfortable at all. The instructions are clear, and the belt is easy to use. We are so happy with this purchase and would recommend this to every single household to have just in case! This CT CAPETRONIX therapy belt is effective in helping relieve pain, but has some design issues. I have about a thousand dollars of LED therapy devices and is one of the best I own. Please refer to the pictures I have posted as I do this product review. I am in my seventies who has numerous injuries to deal with. This belt quickly does its job in each area in about five minutes. This may be do to several characteristics. This belt has a comfortable felt type pad with LED laser lights embedded into it. It has two wavelengths - one is visible to the eye and the other is not - so do NOT look at this when it is turned on! Otherwise you could damage your eyes. This belt packs some power! When I turn it on with all settings on high, it gets warm, almost hot within five minutes. The LED pad is attached to a flimsy stretch belt that adjusts and holds the pad in place. There are two large velcro pads to attach to the belt. I recommend that you may want to attach the belt similarly in the picture I show. Otherwise if you attach it the other way, you will feel the very uncomfortable velcro on you skin - not a nice feeling. I have my fingers lifting up the two velcro pads to show you how I attach my velcro belt. The expandable strap though has no substance and collapses when around my 36 inch waist. (See the wrinkles in the picture.) My other LED pads do not collapse like this - minus one star. This collapsing is annoying but not a deal breaker. The controls will allow you to select the frequencies, power, and time. Some people will wear this belt over a shirt. I don’t recommend this because it seriously blocks the effectiveness of the ability of the LED lights to penetrate deep into the skin. Therfore, make sure you are squeaky clean when using this very effective belt. ... show more

This is a real red light therapy pad and body wrap. I like the simple pad design with the belts being included but not permanently attached. I can lay the pad on my back or legs and push it aside easily without all the hassles of peeling back the hook & loop fabric. This let me control the light wavelength modes separately or together and also has three levels of intensity(brightness) for each of the light modes. This belt also provides the heat I like from red light therapy and I preferred the maximum level three brightness the best. I definitely recommend this red light therapy pad with it's wrap capabilities because of the various modes which can be individually customized and it's true heating output. 5 stars from me.
