Comfortable shorts for lounging but also very versatile if you want something to accommodate many different styles. The length is good as it is not too long or too short. The fit is slightly snug in the waistband with the hip and leg areas a little more relaxed. I recommend a size up if you don’t like your waist to spill over or want anything too snug in that area. The material is soft and lightweight but not see through and dries quickly. I especially like that the drawstring is inside the waistband as I can easily wear a fitted shirt without having the bulky tie showing through. I was looking for shorts that were not compression shorts, not nylon/running shorts, didn't dig in at the top of the thigh when sitting, not too short and not too long, were similar to sweat-shorts, but not fleece and not ultra-baggy. In summary - I wanted really comfy lounge shorts that looked decent around the house, to the store, etc. These are the closest pair of shorts that matched my expectations! What could have been a tad better on these: they are a bit heavy, material-wise (thus, I would not wear them outside on a warm day); I'm not a front/side pocket-fan for pants or shorts - they tend to ruin the silhouette of whatever you're wearing because they never seem to lay flat. And yup, they don't lay flat on these shorts either (plan to wear a longer top if you care). Others have mentioned panty-line issues. Not sure what color they got, but no issues with the black. Can't speak to longevity yet, since I haven't had them that long - but so far, so good! ... show more

I was in love with these shorts for the first month. After laundering (and air drying) them about 4 times, the chocolate brown color has completely faded. I'm disappointed.
