It works for me. I have used three other brands of sludge bacteria for my 5000 gal pond with varying results. Most kinda worked but not completely effective. This CrystalClear is the fourth product I have used and it has definitely worked in my current fall season with water temps 50-60 degrees. I’m in a more moderate climate area where water temps range from about 38-64 degrees F, from coldest winter days to hottest summer days, respectively. Not having a way to measure the bacteria in my pond, I have to go by the fact that it is clear and no major algae growth (more bacteria leaves less nutrients ). Easy to use and have used it for several years in spring and fall. Fish are healthy.
