My freedom panels began leaking a few years ago. It always leaked on the dash over the radio. One time it shorted out the radio, after that I always put a bag on the dash over the radio.     • Worked good, but it sure could use some instructions/photos
The seal kit worked great, I'm no longer greeted with a wet floor or an icy floor. A big negative would be the complete lack of instructions or even a couple images showing you where some parts go. I had to google image search to find out where the round cylinder looking things go. (Hint the big one goes between the two freedom panels on the front header seal, the smaller ones go on the seal on the passenger freedom panel where the two sides overlap) There are some youtube videos showing you how to do the rest. I would say take pictures before removing the old foam pieces, i used a dab of acetone on a paper towel to clean the old adhesive after doing testing to confirm it won't damage the finish... ... show more

The smaller tubes fit on the ends of the passenger side top and the larger tube goes in the rear header for the panels. If you pull back the rear header, you will find the larger tube that may be pulled out and replaced. However, I did not use it after pulling the old one out and finding it to still be in good shape and longer than the one included. ... show more

    • Sealed freedom tops
My 08 Jeep JKU was leaking in the freedom top area. Didn’t know these were the issue. Took a blow dryer to the old foam pieces that were all broken, super flattened out and a flat head to help pull up the old pieces. Made sure to plan out the new pieces before pulling the old ones off. Work on one at a time for precision placement, any misplacements will lead to tops not sitting snug/right. Had a few pieces I didn’t need left over. Jeep is sealed and have wayyyy less road noise coming in. No more leaks. Would recommend and buy again ... show more

    • Helped resolve a leak
This product was easy to install and helped resolve a freedom panel leak. Make sure you watch the installation video on YouTube from extreme terrain so you’ll know exactly how to install it. Don’t forget to clean the area the old seals were on with rubbing alcohol to ensure a clean surface and make sure you use silicone o ring lubricant on all the gasket surfaces on the jeep and the gasket between the panels prior to putting them back in. I had a leak in the back of the panels, used this just on the back panel seals to replace them and took the time to do it right. Did a water test and now it’s dry in the jeep. We just got this jeep preowned from a dealership that wouldn’t back it up and do it so I did it, it wasn’t hard, just takes time. I’ll never be taking those panels off ever again. ... show more

I really really really want to like this product, it was super easy to install and super easy to tell where the strips go! How ever like about 3 to 5 days after installing it they stared to unglue from the freedom panels I was so dissepointed! I instal it perfectly! And Bam!! The driver side came off completely when I when to fox it it torn apart, the passenger side seem a bit better but completely flat! I was able to stick that one back with no tears and is just hold it there for it's life for now. What a dosspoitment when I saw that!!! The foam it self feel very flinsy but molds to the shape after a couple of days. It's biggest failed is the horrible crappy flue that is use, there is no way that 3m glue what so ever!!!you are better off buying a foam strip and cutting it to the shape need it for the freedom tops. Very dissepointed 😥😭 ... show more

Took a little while to install but it was worth it. I no longer have water leaking in at the center rear of the freedom tops or the front Corners by the door
